Came in alone and offered to sit outside as it was a relatively busy night. Had to explicitly ask for the lights to be turned on so I could see and regretfully didn't ask for the heaters to be turned on at the same time. Ordered one main and one entree, entree came out approximately 45 minutes after ordering which given that it was a Friday night is not too bad, entree came out with no cutlery which I thought was strange but dismissed it as entrees often don't require any. Mains (steak medium rare) came out 20-30 minutes later again with nothing but a steak knife, politely asked for cutlery which the waitress acknowledged but after 10 minutes I was still waiting and decided to ask for some at the bar. The lady apologies and hurriedly provided cutlery. Steak was raw-rare as opposed to medium rare and by this time almost iced cold. Wasn't waiting another 45 minutes in the cold outside for another meal so ate most of it. Complained at the end to a waitress but was just told "you poor thing, next time send it back"....

Then we were instructed to go order at the bar. Then over the next 90 minutes we had half of the meals come out be eaten and had the plates taken back before the other half of our group had their food. There were 8 people waiting and hungry then 4 meals came out, another 15 minutes and 2 more and then after more waiting we had to ask for the last 2 meals. Which were left on the counter forgotten, what a joke. And through that no one told us a thing, abysmal service.
Really disappointed with our night, hopefully this isn't a...

Decent country pub, friendly staff and nice interior and atmosphere. A little bit of a wait for the meals we ordered when a rush came through. Beer selection is conservative with James Squire the craftiest beer available.
Korean chicken pretty good, maybe could be a bit more salty than sweet, mild criticism.
Porterhouse steak could have been seasoned a bit more and salad relied on iceberg lettuce a bit too much. Again, very mild criticism.
I'd go back and eat it all again in a heartbeat....
