Friendly greeting by a beautiful Maitre de, escorted to a nice table. It was relatively busy for the start of service at 6pm Sunday. It's quite a bright and expansive area, but still managed to be intimate. Lovely waitress was sweet and fun. Quickly returned with our drink order: generous servings. Only issue we had with the menu was that everything sounded appealing. Meals were quick out of the kitchen. Very impressive and generated a lot of conversation about how good everything was. Skillful presentation, amazing flavours, generous servings. We ordered 2 entrees (scallops & gnocchi) chicken pasta and a side of beans. to come out together. One glass of sparkling & one Pepsi. $108. Very reasonable for the enjoyment we had. There were several desserts we were interested in, but too full to proceed. And the Lamb Shoulder to share. The food is good as you would get at any hatted restaurant or 5 star restaurant anywhere. As a chef my self I can tell the kitchen brigade know their trade not just well but with a level of care and expertise not many have. The winner is the Lamb. More so the roast vegetables. Heirloom carrot, kipfler potatoes, beans. Each cooked and seasoned to individual perfection. The test of a chef is cooking roast potatoes that are fluffy but crunchy. Foodwise excellent, wine list sad and wait staff really need to iron their clothes and not slouch about like everything's a burden.
