Last night, we celebrated a significant family milestone at the Tinamba Hotel, marking my wife’s aunt’s 70th birthday. From the outset, the evening was marked by warmth and hospitality. Upon arrival, we were courteously greeted and ushered into a waiting area until our entire party arrived. This thoughtful gesture set a welcoming tone for the evening.

Our dining experience commenced flawlessly, with the staff promptly seating us, offering water, and presenting the menus and drinks list. The service throughout the night was attentive and efficient, with orders taken promptly and meals served with little delay. The quality of the food was exceptional; the calamari entrée, accompanied by an Asian salad, was perfectly cooked, and the 500gram scotch fillet steak for the main course was prepared exactly to order. The synchronisation in serving the meals ensured that all guests received their food within minutes of each other, showcasing the staff’s commitment to excellent service.

A highlight of the evening was the birthday celebration, complete with a cake and a heartwarming rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ by the team of staff members. It was a gesture that truly made the evening special.

However, the evening was not without its minor drawbacks. The ambiance was slightly marred by the temperature, which was on the warmer side, and the fans in operation did not provide sufficient ventilation. Additionally, ongoing water service throughout the evening could have enhanced the dining experience.

As I always say I love these types of reviews,I have been eating at this hotel restaurant for over 3 years and can say I have never had any less than a 5 star all round experience, even at times a 6 star 🌟 meal. We run a local air bnb called eagles rest and always advise our guests to go for a meal and we have only had positive feedback. My manager of my air bnb has been going the extra mile so we shouted her dinner and this is her review: Hi Anton here’s some photos I took, hope this is okay, as we were too excited to try, and totally forgot to ask the waiter to take a picture of us.

The first 2 photos were the entree, cauliflower and the pork jowl with carrot jam; our favourite, it melted in our mouth, and the carrot jam was surprisingly complimented, totally amazing.

The snapper and sirloin was amazing too, and the dessert was  incredible especially when it paired with a glass of cherry. The portions of the tasting menu was small but after five courses we were sent home with stomachs full to the brim.

With each course we were given a matching wine to go with it. They really worked out the match cos every mouth full and every sip was an indulgence of flavour.

The waiters was  friendly and well versed with explaining what they were serving. Great ambiance to have our anniversary dinner. We feel spoiled to have this amazing restaurant near us.
