Coffee @ Joe's — Restaurant in Wagga Wagga City Council

I recently visited this cafe and was extremely disappointed. The atmosphere was dull and uninviting, and the service was painfully slow. The staff seemed disinterested in helping anyone. I ordered a cappuccino, and it tasted like warm milk with a hint of coffee — absolutely no flavor. To top it off, the pastry I got was stale and seemed like it had been sitting out for days. It’s clear that the management must have changed, because this place used to be much better. Overall, it doesn’t live up to the hype anymore, and I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Definitely not...

Don’t let this business fool you. Owner is a very poor cafe operator, and finds it easy to redirect and blame others (the town, his employees, the customer) for things well within his control, which you can see in other reviews as well as at the restaurant itself. How can you pity a small, dying town, when this man and his business are the last operating business on the towns main road. Couldn’t survive a week running a cafe like this in an actually populated town/city.

Give it a miss, keep driving to the next town on the map, find somewhere better to...

Sunday visit just after a bus had let passengers to wander in, so we were required to wait a little bit but that’s okay because we weren’t in a hurry. That was a great decision as we had personal, friendly service from both Joe and assistant, Ainsley and food arrived at the seating area promptly after we ordered. It was just what we wanted and we could linger and relax. Ainsley was able to chat and tell us about local activities and the atmosphere seemed very welcoming and most pleasant.
