Me and my husband road trip from Warwick down to Sydney. As the only food place out of almost nowhere this little hotel is a keeper. The owner and the wife were the only staff I suppose, with one or two local old gents visiting, watching a cooking show at lunch time. Very proud history since 1970s, I wouldn't say it was a warm hospitality but we could indeed feel their down-to-earth life style and such a local laidback greet. Menu was simple, food was no fancy but yes okay like chips, schnitzel and steaks. They had a quite standard bar, suited the principle that reglass less food you have to have good beers :)) Overall a genuine abstract of the local's real life....

The bar staff were great, nice to meet people who genuinely smile, making you feel welcome from the time you walk in. The hotel was fresh and clean. A real bonus for us RV owners is that they offer parking behind the hotel for self contained RV’s. If you take them up, please support the hotel to ensure they continue to offer this great service and they are there for your next visit. The only reason for the four star on the food was the meal was good, but nothing out of the box. Would I go there again…...

We gad fish & chips & salad for $18 each; best I’ve had in a long time… & I don’t usually like fish! Batter on the fish was perfectly crunchy without being overdone, chips were crunchy, salad was not just normal boring tomato & lettuce - added red onion & small cubes of beetroot.
