Staff were nice. The atmosphere and view is lovely but the food we were a little disappointed withh. My husband ordered the fritters with beetroot hummus and coconut yoghurt with Hickory smoked bacon on the side. His fritters didn't have beetroot hummus or the yoghurt so quite plain, they forgot his bacon which they did bring out when he asked but it was not cooked well as it was clearly rushed out. I ordered the smashed avo with blistered tomatoes, I received about 3 small cherry tomatoes on each slice of toast (6 total) and they were fresh not blistered. As a whole it was good enough to eat, but disappointed it wasn't as described in the menu.
I did book online just incase the day prior as this was an option given, I received an e-mail to say they received the request and will review the Request but nothing else. Luckily they weren't to busy and we always go first thing. Perhaps it would be better to have a booking system that does the actual booking in or just don't have online booking as an not...
Read moreI called to order lunch and was told we are too busy to take your order and I should call back in 5 minutes. I called back to only get an answering machine. After 20 minutes I finally got thru and I the ordered 3 $10 fish and chip packs, the same order we have had most Fridays. When I arrived 15 minutes later they wanted to charge $16. I said that I ordered the $10 packs and the girl at the counter said to me that I ordered the fish & chip packs and the $10 menu was for the evenings (that was new). Firstly, I know exactly what I ordered, secondly, if she had told me it had changed to $16, we would have gone to the Coopers Ale House and had a proper sit down restaurant meal for $15. Last of all, who has the cheaper evening meal for dinner in a card board take away container. These people have no idea how to run a café and anyone reading this should give them a big miss, just go to Coopers Ale House instead, they also have...
Read moreWe went for lunch here about a week ago while staying at Wallaroo Holiday Park and we didn't enjoy it. On walking in, there were about 10 bags of what looked like rubbish near the specials board. Then we stood at the counter to ask about a table and waited for some time before anyone came out to serve us and they didn't even point out where the menus were so I had to go back and ask for them once we sat down. The place was overpriced and looked like a takeaway shop trying to pose as a high end cafe. The garfish was ok but the salad on the plate was dried out with no dressing plus we were given plastic packets of tartare sauce and tomato sauce with our meals!!! To top it off, the manager or owner was quite rude to us. We didn't bother dining or drinking here again for our week long trip next door. There are better options...
