We’ve been here twice. Both times the service has been terrible. This is my first review, ever, but the rudeness I experienced from the staff this second time deserves this review. I thought the first time they were possibly just busy but nope, the second time also was even worse.

First time I spent over $120 on treats and food. Paid for them no problem. Realised I wanted one more cake and they said I needed to spend and other $10 just to use card. I literally was still at the counter had just paid then realised I forgot something and had to spend another $10. Worst service.

Second time bought cakes, juice, coffee. Forgot about the coffee and walked out. Went back in to ask for the coffee and they said we never paid for it. All 3 workers being rude flashing there eftpos machines saying it’s not on the docket, then we added up what I bought and there was an over pay of the coffee amount. But still because it wasn’t on the receipt they would give us our coffee.

Terrible service. Rude. Foods alright but I’d rather give my money to someone else for worse food.

I’m not surprised they have a 3.5...

HYGIENE ISSUES - On our way to Albany, we stopped to get a coffee. The staff was sweeping the floor, he came n collected the order n payment. Next thing I see he started making coffee without washing his hands. As I noticed, I asked him whether he washed his hands, he said he touched the coffee beans with the other hand. So shocked with his response. In times of COVID-19 hygiene levels at the cafe MUST be HIGH & maintained. Truly was missing here. Then another staff came to make the coffee & I waited. She took another cup in front of me & starting making it. Then she still made the coffee in the same cup the first staff made. I refused to take that & asked her to remake in a new cup. I don't think I was asking for much which was then delivered. Aww so much for 1 cup of coffee. The coffee was hot &...

Yesterday was the first time we visited this bakery, and we have to say; we were very disappointed with the customer service. They do not really care about customers or they do not care about customers like us??? While other businesses go well above what is expected to make sure customers return, these guys don’t even do what would be a normal customer service. They refused to warm up a sandwich in the microwave just because it was closing time - warming up a sandwich won’t make any mass, and even if it did, I would of thought you cared for your customers. Food was ok, but after customer service as such, even food tastes like crap 😂 I do not recommend this bakery or if you visit after lunch make sure you bring your toaster and maybe...

We stopped by here twice during our trip. The first visit was for brunch and the second was for a late, late lunch (they were closing when we reached, so we opted to get sandwiches to go). Brunch was a leisurely affair since it was a Sunday and they were the only restaurant opened. I have the big breakfast and it was OK. The sausage was good. The service was Ok and the food arrived soon enough. Altough it was early in the day, but we were tempted by the array of pastries and desserts on display. They all looked very delicious and we had to exercise control not to over indulge. Of course, we got some of them on our second visit ha ha. There are plenty of parking outside so that is a non issue.

Vanilla slice with no vanilla, hard gelatinous filling and hard sugary icing also without flavour. Pastry was good however, mid crispy and fresh. Large size and good price $5.50 (Just been to Mt Barker bakery....so really hard act to follow) I am testing vanilla slices around Australia..... Soy chai latte ok (just powdered like a lot of places nowadays) Staff heard sneezing in kitchen (multiple times) Environment like most little towns that are struggling, tired and in need of TLC or Gordon Ramsay make over. Despite the (honest) low rates I am still happy to patronise these small businesses - hoping to see improvement from feedback. No offence intended.

Vietnamese homemade braised beef pie is amazing! Please, you have to try this. We bought the last 5 beef pies straight off the shelf. Hardworking people. Service is fast and efficient because it gets busy at peak hours. They will take your order while also preparing coffee or food for another customer, so no time for small chats or smiles. They deserve 5 stars for their delicious food. Visited this bakery again and again during our stay in Walpole. Also, we brought a pie up Mount Lindsey. YUMS.
