Pulled in here while on our travels and were so glad we did...

often the OL country pub has lost its charm to commercialism and unfortunately being forced to move with modern times to compete with a modern market.

The wandering tavern is nice and tidy and has plenty of spacious seating inside, pool table, bar seating as well as a beer garden and outside seating all while maintaining its country pub charm!

Doggo is welcome in the beer garden and the locals warming their pew at the bar are welcoming and more than happy for a chat...

Plenty of selection on the menu and the two ladies (bar and chef) certainly seem to have everything under control. The chef was more than accommodating to my wifes gluten allergies and although the menu didnt necessarily specify GF options the girls had great knowledge of what could happen to meet the desired requirements.

The burgers were excellent, great value for money, clean amenities and plenty of parking for the big rigs as well.

I took my dad for a drive in the country and stopped at Wandering tavern for lunch , the staff were very helpful and friendly , my dad ordered the chicken snitty,bacon and cheese burger with an egg in a turkish roll which was a good size and tasted great . I ordered the Wandering wopper well when the wopper came out I was wondering how I was going to get my gob around it, it had a thick home made pattie ,steak, bacon egg ,beetroot ,tomato,lettuce,bbq sause in a large toasted turkish roll with onion rings on top . This burger was higher than my pint glass . I saw a steak go by to another table and it was impressive ,took up half the plate . I strongly recommend a really nice drive in the country to Wandering and stop at the tavern for lunch , you might want to skip...

Amazing Food! This gem hidden of the main road is worth the detour if you’re looking for a feed, it might not look like much form the road but the food was top notch. I was staying and working in Boddington when a local suggested the wandering tavern was a good place for a feed and he was not wrong… much to my wife’s horror I had the chilli muscles which in her mind is a bad idea that far from the ocean…they were amazing and a massive serve, I made every one wait for me to finish my meal as I was not willing to leave anything behind. Next time I am out that way I will be...
