Fabulous! Not what you expect when driving into a fish merchant's business. Great indoor and outdoor spaces in which to enjoy a sumptuous, well priced seafood lunch. Hubby and I had the platter for two, and our friends had individual serves of fish and chips. Everything on the plates had been cooked perfectly and served in a very reasonable time. Friendly staff, along with neat, clean amenities, made for an excellent experience. Definitely will be back again and is highly recommended when visiting the Lower Yorke Peninsula SA 😀

This is an exciting place to come and eat. Great location and delicious food on offer. It’s not everyday you can buy fish and chips from the people that caught the fish! This place is a must visit if you’re in the area or passing through. Point Turton is 5 minutes down the road if you feel like taking away and eating with your eyes on the ocean. Come try you will not be disappointed.

The fish has always been fresh and the batter is awesome, nice and light. The chips are pretty good also. We bought the single fish serve each and the $8 serve of chips to share between 3.

Unfortunately we had seen a menu online, posted online only a month ago, before we went so were shocked when we arrived to see the prices had gone up by 40% in the meantime!! We had been late last year when the menu was simpler and more takeaway style. The seafood basket had jumped from $30 to $42 and only had flake for the fish, and 2 each of prawns, squid rings and scallops. The scallops were a good size, I felt a couple of more squid rings could be included, and a choice of fish would be nice, even if it was a small upgrade price. I found the crumb coating was very crunchy, but too thick and formed a hard shell around the seafood hidden within. My partner who is not a seafood eater had the steak sandwich which he said was only average, and not a very big serve. The food was a bit slow coming out despite them not being overly busy on a regular Friday (aka not a long weekend), and our cutlery never arrived! Luckily what we ordered could be eaten with our fingers as no service person was seen once the food was delivered and they went to get our cutlery! Maybe for outdoor diners a basket of cutlery, napkins, salt and pepper could be given to you when you order?? The outside area needs some serious clean up and TLC in Terms of atmosphere. The addition of regular height tables and chairs, instead of all wine barrels and high chairs, would cater better for older people traveling with pets who cannot eat indoors - there were 2 groups of such people there at the time. It was not the experience we hoped for, but hopefully improvements are made over time as this evolution of the restaurant reopening is still relatively new and it is great for the Yorkes area to have this dining option attached to the seafood shop again. I hope this review helps them to...

We stopped off on our trip to the Innes National Park and loved it so much we have stopped for a second time on our way home!

The king George and garfish was cooked beautifully - well worth a try! We also couldn’t resist a few grilled prawns which were so fresh and delicious!! The service was great, really friendly and accomodating staff. Made sure we left full and with big smiles

Would highly recommend stopping by if your...
