Gateway Better Bake — Restaurant in Warrnambool

After a long drive from Geelong to Warrnambool, my daughter and I decided to stop for some breakfast, and instead of heading into town, we stopped at the Gateway Plaza. There was not much to chose from at the plaza so we decided to eat at the Better Bake Cafe. The A-frame menu they had at the door advertised pancakes for $9.50 which my daughter was keen on (pic included). I decided on the Bacon and Egg Roll. When we took a seat to wait for our meal we noticed that there was a pile of junk on the chair next to my daughter, including an old cash register. When the pancakes came out they (3) were tiny - we are talking 10cm in width - probably the size of a smallish pikelet! (pic included) - nothing like the photo of 6 stacked pancakes advertised. My Bacon and egg roll came out about 5 minutes after my daughters meal - which as any restaurant/cafe knows is pretty poor. Most people like to eat at the same time! Would not recommend, and I feel sorry for the people who have such a poor choice to...

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I approached the counter to order an iced coffee only to be greeted with a very rude and abrupt 'What do you want?' I ordered a small iced coffee only to receive a bitter, undrinkable and dirty looking drink. I returned the ice coffee explaining that it was too strong (a small coffee/iced coffee should contain 1 standard shot of espresso), the woman then rolled her eyes at me and snapped 'THEN ORDER HALF STRENGTH!' she then said the best she could do was add a dash of milk, which she proceeded with but the iced coffee was still undrinkable and went in the bin, I didn't dare ask for a refund after how she glared and snapped at me. There is an inconsistancy with service. If you go after the peak lunch time you will recieve terrible service. I went at 4pm ( the cafe closes at 5:30pm) but you'd think I rocked up one minute before closing. I was served my food on a plastic plate with flimsy plastic cutlery that wouldn't cut properly and my drink came to me in a take-away cup. I ended up eating with my hands. I had been asked if I wanted to eat in and given a table number. If you can't be bothered to give diners the respect they deserve and give them proper table service then at least put up a sign saying that after a certain time you only...
