Barnacles on the Wharf — Restaurant in West End

I tried to contact the owners to do this personally but was unable to find contact details. I live here, so I'm reluctant to write a negative review because i enjoy supporting local business. I ordered 2 fish burgers and chips online. The product did not match the description. The burgers were drier than an old cracker in a heatwave. While the picture looked succulent, the actual amount of tartare was at best smear and the sliced cheese was too afraid to take sides and remained hydrophobic. My mouth was anticipating a sprint of flavour and soon realised it was a dull, and dry and therefore an endurance competition (since I was starving) of which I had to inform my better half who was waiting for his lunch in transit. Been eating here for years. Always great and consistent. Good to see them grow into other markets besides just the workers smoko.

Not 100% if this is still the case but Would love to see them use less disposable containers, I find the styrofoam containers blown down towards our boat and floating around in the harbour (not a great look when we as a town are trying to sell our pristine sustainably caught crays to our international and national visitors). My wife and I have had some wonderful fish and chips in the past, but sadly, today we were very disappointed in the size of the serve of our Pink Snapper, we ordered 2 serves of the fish and 1 of chip. What we got was a cardboard container of chips and 4 nuggets of fish. We have in the past struggled to consume the amount of fish served, but today it wasn't even a snack.
