Edit - Below must have been a once of. Went back (purely for convenience sake) and the serve size was generous. Oil seems to be kept clean so taste is good. Chips were properly cooked with a good crunch. Fish was pretty much perfect. If I had been served this fish in a nice seaside eatery accompanied by a nice salad I would be well pleased. I have been back a couple of times since and not been dissapointed. Happy to upgrade my review to 5 stars after these recent good experiences.

New owners are giving tiny serves of chips and about half the size of fish that the old owners gave. Chips were tiny scrappy little things. Fish was about 4mm thick. Was cooked ok and oil was clean so acceptable quality but nothing special. Plenty of better fish and chips shops around the area so won't be in a hurry to go back. If the serve size on the chips had been a little less stingy and not little scraps of potato would have...

Hadn't been here in a few years as we moved out of the area. Was always our favorite fish n chip shop and glad to say it still is! Had a great feed tonight! Was busy, but didn't have to wait too long. Ordered grilled barramundi, chips, squid rings and a couple of crab sticks. The batter on the squid rings and crab sticks seems to have changed since we last had it, but it tasted better! Paid $32 for what we got and was pretty happy with the serving size and quality! The staff were also very friendly :) Would give 6 stars of we could!

Update December 2020 Extremely disappointed with our recent visit. Bought 2x grilled barramundi, minimum chips And 2 crab sticks. Cost $32, the fillets were tiny and well overcooked. The chips looked good, but must have also been overcooked as there was almost no potato left inside. Was like eating cardboard. The crab sticks were the only good part. Sorry, but we won't be back...

What we liked: Standard fish as part of a meal was thick, well cooked and wasn't dry like packet fish. Chips were well cooked and good texture, taste was excellent. Quick turnaround from phone call to pickup and friendly service. No bad taste from the oil on chips or fish, seems like they use good ingredients to start with.

What we've had better: Price is probably the mid point, not super expensive not super cheap. Chips serving smaller than some other shops, but fish was larger or equal. Batter is a bit sweet and on some pieces generously applied, bit of excess oil in places.

Overall, good quality, good place, would recommend to friends just with the caveat that the batter may or may not be...
