Planning to come here? DON'T!! DARLINGTON ESTATE IS NOT A VENUE YOU WANT TO VISIT FOR A MEAL. AND DEFINATELY NOT A VENUE TO HOST YOUR WEDDING EVENT OR FUNCTION!!

I had my wedding here late last year.....HUUUGE mistake!!! Biggest day of our lives and they absolutely ruined it. What could go wrong, did go wrong.

Darlingtons co-owner Michelle will make you feel as though everything is good, all your planning and specifics are accounted for, everything will be provided as planned and agreed...do not trust a word that comes out of her mouth!

On our day... they change the drinks package without approval. pre-dinner drinks started late. they supplemented the alcoholic beverages for cheaper alternatives without prior approval.

entrees: beef cheek dish was burnt and portions were tiny. The pork belly was mostly all fat and inedible. Guests with special dietary requirements weren't catered for as specified. Management recommended placing a late guests' entree in the warmer but then refused to serve it when he arrived.

Mains portions was shocking compared to what was served at the trial dinner. The meat was dry, the portions so insufficient that most guests including myself went on a maccas run afterwards. I even had to ask for a knife & fork to eat my mains...Me!!! THE GROOM!!!!

I could not believe how poor the service provided was. They were understaffed and the quality of service varied from staff to staff. Mid way through the night they ran out of drinking glasses so guests had to resort to swiging from wine bottles. They "had" electrical faults to areas which we planned to have as an attraction for the night & other electical problems throughout the venue. They charged us for drinks which we never ordered. They overcharged guests for drinks that we had a price agreement on...and to top it off, personal items including certain wedding decorations just vanished....

Our one night...the most important night for my Wife & I turned into a complete disaster!!

Every aspect Darlington Estate and i discussed, which we had both agreed upon, and which took months of planning & preparation....Michelle and Andy (the estates owners/event co-ordinators) failed to execute our plans as per our agreement. Failing miserably in providing my wife & I (and my guests) the quality food and outstanding service they lead us to expect.

They're appalling attitude when issues were brought to their attention, their dispicable and disgraceful actions, serving a child his entree, which the dish was inappropriate for his diet then refusing to rectify the mistake, not replacing the dish and claiming that's all he would be offered for the entire night!!

I can go on..but it's quite clear as you have read.

Note: if you do decide to have an event here...get everything in writing. Literally. They will not stick to agreements and they will break promises. learn from my misfortune and save yourself...

Our first experience wasn't the greatest, there was a bit of a mistake on the front of house staff getting our order to the kitchen which made myself my partner an my Parents wait about an hour and a half for mains.

Mistakes happen but it's how you rectify them that makes a great business. Natalie and Meg have been brilliant they provided us with an extremely generous $200 gift voucher to try again.

We just went back on the Saturday the 18th to take my grandmother to dinner was a lovely time, the panna cotta was easily up there with the best i ever had, sticky date pudding was 'decent' the dark chocolate tart wasn't for me but my partner enjoyed it.

They say as well if a place does good bread it's always going to be a good time as something as simple Turkish bread was amazing so surprisingly good even the choice of feta alot of care just for the bread was very impressive!

The pork belly entree was very good in terms of flavour Just wish it had poor crackling skin as the skin was a bit rubbery that would of made it 10/10 for me.

The steak, chicken and even the veggiterian dishes here are amazing I'd nearly argue they are better then the meat mains.

I had the steak, partner had the beans an sweet potato dish an my grandmother had the chicken my steak was easily one of the best steaks I had perfect top crust an cooked flawless. Everything well balanced an seasoned as I sampled each dish.

We are having our Reception here in august 21st it was meant to be this year but that changed due to a surprise baby.

However Natalie and Meg allowed us to shift our reception date even though they did not have to it clearly states in there fine print they do not have to move the date as it counts as a cancellation I paid the deposit knowing full well that was a possibility and if they could not move it that would of been perfectly fine. Yet they did anyways!

I can only assume last time went poorly as Natalie was not present running the show that evening. This time was alot busier then our first visit and food came out at a very reasonable time.

Over all extremely happy with the service form Natalie in the sense of the dining experience and Meg for making our wedding planning 110% stress free.

I'll be sending my parents back for the wedding tasting as I'm yet to find a second dessert!

We recently had our wedding at Darlington Estate Winery, and it was truly the day of our dreams.

From the moment we arrived, we were swept up in the beauty of the place—it felt like a fairy-tale brought to life. The forest surrounds, the twinkling lights, the rustic charm… it was like stepping into a hidden wonderland. We couldn’t have imagined a more magical setting to begin our next chapter.

A very special thank you to Meg, our coordinator and absolute superstar. Her professionalism, warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience feel effortless. She guided us through everything with such care and calm, and her personalised approach made us feel so supported and seen throughout the whole journey.

The food was incredible—beautifully presented, absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were huge! Our guests are still talking about how full and happy they were (and how they may never eat that well again at a wedding!). Every element was thoughtful, generous and made with love.

The service on the night was flawless. Every single staff member was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our guests were looked after. We honestly felt like royalty.

We received so many compliments from our guests—about the stunning venue, the food, the vibe, the atmosphere—and above all, how much fun they had. And we felt it too. It was warm, joyful, and full of magic from start to finish.
