FULL UPDATE: Things have changed a lot since I first reviewed Dog's Breakfast Cafe. Amy is now the owner and has been running the show for 1.5 years as I write. Her food and drinks are fantastic! Amy is constantly inventing new items for the cafe which never fail to taste great. Varying her menu throughout the year, there are always treats and food for people and dogs. Her coffee (I am told by the coffee drinkers in the family) is superb and she has good quality tea leaf, which is what I like to drink. Her friendly service attracts people from all over the area. She hosts dog parties, events and services regularly which are incredibly popular. It's become quite the spot for dog-owners who often come a long way to enjoy the adjoining dog park along with the excellent cafe. Amy's current offsider, Kellie, is also a great barista whose coffee is much loved. You can relax here and chat with Amy about all things dogs [and other stuff too :) ]. Dog's Breakfast Cafe hours also fill the gaps in morning service throughout the week in this part of the Valley. I love coming to this spot. Highly...

I came for the first time today with our dog and love the idea and the vibe is awesome but unfortunately the playground is really unsafe. It needs to be double gated for dog safety, especially as it’s so close to a busy high speed road. In the time I was there one puppy got out and understandably has limited recall, I was anxious the whole time because my own dog also has limited recall (which is why we go to enclosed areas). Additionally, there was lots of kids there which is great but they would come and go opening and closing the gate without awareness of dogs almost escaping. It wouldn’t even need to be an airlock style, even just enclosing the cafe area would be a safe option.
The cafe was nice and great coffee though could do with some more vegetarian...

What a quiet little spot, had ham and cheese croissant and coffee and it was so peaceful sitting there, trees all around, in the morning sun. What a top start to the day. Croissant was spot on and coffee was hot. I didn't even know this place existed. Looking around I could see dogs were allowed and there was also a dog exercise area, something very lacking in the Swan Valley. I told my friend about it and we will go back...she's always looking for somewhere to go, with her dog. What a good little start off point...
