We visited last Sunday on our way back to Perth from Dunsborough. It was a bit of a stab in the dark but we thought it was worth a try.

How right we were. From the momebmwe arrived we we're well looked after, even when my wife decided she wanted to eat alfresco rather than at the table set up for us.

We started with a bottle of their Primavera Rosso 2017. What a great wine for a warm day, reminiscent of the Lambrusco Seccos of northeastern Italy but with a bit more punch.

The food menu focuses on pizza, and we woon found out why. They produce delicious pizzas using imaginative flavour combinations and clearly celebrating locally available produce. Adults and children alike gave a ten out ten review at the table. I would happily have finished off any slices that remained uneaten, but sadly there weren't any!

We tried a number of other wines while we was there. A sparkling Chardonnay from a nearby estate went down well with the ladies (a tad soft for me), but for me the stars were the temperanillo shiraz and the "liqueur shiraz" which one could be forgiven for describing as port.

Overall this was a fabulous experience and we will be going back. I much prefer a restaurant that sticks to its strengths and doesn't fall into the trap of making the menu so diverse it's impossible to do anything well.

Top marks for food, wine and service. Very child friendly. A relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere in spectacular countryside - what more could...

What a beautiful spot to while away the afternoon. The wood fired pizza 🍕 was amazing, its no wonder they've won a golden plate award. 🏆🍽🪙

MENU OPTIONS The tasty menu included GF, vegetarian & vegan options too - yay. Apparently they'll try to accommodate most dietry restrictions, just let them know when you book. They also featured local producers (the ice cream & ginger beer were big hits with us) which is great to see.

LICENSED Being attached to a winery the Cafe is licensed (naturally) & has terrific views. The summer wine cocktail was like an iced version of mulled wine & just perfect for a hot day (I had 2 glasses, purely for quality control purposes)!

STAFF The staff genuinely made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. They even turned on the sprinkler so we could cool off on an unusually hot day like the big kids we are.

NEXT TIME... I'll be back to check out the cellar door wine tastings & maybe sample a different pizza or two (I was eyeing off several things on the menu that I saw coming out of the kitchen & heard the other...

Nice place to eat, though we felt rather tricked into buying their "tinto". We spoke about purchasing 6 bottles of wine, and the owner said she'd give us some tinto (similar to a glass of sangria), I asked if she'd throw that in and she said yes. Hadn't realised she meant she'd throw it onto our bill, why suggest to give us the drink in the first place if she meant to charge us 😅 She gave us a $2 discount but to be honest I would've declined having one if I had known. Fortunately it wasn't too expensive ($10) and it was good. Other than that everything else was nice. Edit* Yes, clearly there was a misinterpretation, and the discount on the wine described below was a regular discount that is given to all patrons, so it's not like they were doing us a favour or anything. Not sure why she suggested giving back the wine, as the wine wasn't the issue. I appreciated everything else, I was just being honest on how...

This Cafe was a delight, dog friendly, people friendly with a nice setting outside, allowing one to sit and enjoy the warm, loving sun. The board at the front of the cafe boasted of some of the best Pizzas and that was reason enough to give this one a go. And though it might not have been the best, it was way up there. We had begun with a wine tasting that was served with pretzels - fun and jovial, setting the tone for the rest of the day. Next was Nachos, which didn't really last long...the kids hogged !! Pizzas were a combination of "Fungi, Pork and Pesto", "Buffalo Garlic Prawn", "Buffalo Chicken" and the kid's "Ham and Cheese". The best was the "Fungi, Pork and Pesto", the others weren't lagging behind; the "Ham and Cheese" was certainly bigger than we thought. ** You might want to book prior as it can get crowded on the weekends

4.5 stars Easy to miss the entrance. Recommend to reserve a table. Very Relaxing place! Service: good. Drinking water was available near the front counter. Pizzas were freshly made to order, so reasonable waiting time for pizza. Wine or drinks were served promptly. Nice, attentive and polite staff. Iced Latte, $7 was small portion, quite pricey. I tried Seasonal specialty- Tinto de Verano (white or red wine), AU13.5/Glass: mine was white wine. What a nice and refreshing treat in the hot weather! --- 8/10 We tried Buffalo Garlic Prawn (AU$28) and Fungi Pork Pesto (AU$24). Pizza dough base was very thin, super crispy, and not burnt that I loved. The filling and sauce combinations were unique and delicious. Spot on! Better if having more prawn meat! ---- 9/10

When we asked for a mug ouf tea we were told that this is a winery and not a cafe so I got a small cup. False advertising see photo. They should refer to their sign. Just wanted to let them know the correct steps to make a cup of tea as mine cup came out with water and a tea bag on the side What is the correct order to make tea? There are simple steps and order in which you must do things: Fill up the kettle with water. Boil the kettle. Place a teabag in your favourite mug. Pour boiling water into your favourite mug. Brew the tea for a few moments. Remove and dispose of the teabag. Add milk. Add sugar.
