Picked up some take away after reading the reviews while looking for a Chinese restaurant nearby to where we were at the time. Placing order over the phone was easy, the girl was friendly taking my order. I didn’t see any roast dishes on their menu so asked if they had Roast Duck which I was told they didn’t have any at first, but then it changed to “yes, we can make”. It definitely isn’t the typical roast duck as it was quite oily, skin not crispy and didn’t come with any of the roast duck sauce. Chinese BBQ pork was delicious and tender. Salt & Pepper Pork was just ok, probably wouldn’t order it again as batter was quite thick. They only do the battered pork, not spare ribs. Pepper Mushroom Beef was tasty, beef was just the right tenderness, however, it was a bit too salty. Having fell out with the crystal palace having been food poisoned by their sweet and sour sauce I fancied special fried rice and sent hubby to Edgewater. It was burnt! The Smokey burnt flavour went right through the rice and you could see black bits all over the food. Whether the griddle had never been cleaned or the rice was left too long before turning I don’t know but I was so disappointed. I ordered over $80 of food (5 dishes) delivered to Beldon it took 45mins to arrive. 1 of the dishes - the fried rice did not get delivered with the order. They obviously did not check the order and said I had to wait for the delivery driver (the manager) to finish her delivery to Greenwood first before anything could be done. So I had to drive to the shop personally to collect it while the remainder of my food was getting cold. I insisted on my $4 delivery fee back however I expected a bit more as far as compensation.
