A lovely little oasis with beautiful decore for a pub. The food was nice but overpriced consiering it was the standard pub fair. Drinks were reasonable although it would be nice if a midi size were offered (I was told only pints and schooners were sold). Ultimately the big let down, and reason for the 2 star review, was the outdoor dining area. It's large breezy and beautiful. A georgous area to sit, overlooking the natural greenery that surrounds the pub itself. Unfortunately there was a young man sitting on a stool in the corner singing his lungs out to the point he was screeching more than singing. This was due to his guitar amp being placed behind his head. Both the microphone and speaker were turned up to such a point that the noise coming out of them completely ruined the atmosphere of the area. My friends and I were forced inside to try and cut the sound down as it had made it almost impossible to speak let alone enjoy the scenery around us.

Usually I've always been happy with the meals here but this time I'm definitely disappointed. $30 for squid and salad that I got take away but it certainly wasn't worth $30 I got an entrees size when I paid for a main serve. The squid could of done with a little more seasoning but wasn't over or under cooked and was tasty just could of definitely had a larger serve for $30. My son got nuggets and chips, the nuggets were nice and crispy but the chips were soft could of been crispier as they were luke warm by the time we got home which is a 5 minute drive. If I wasn't so hungry I would of drove back with it and complained in person . Will be checking the takeaway boxes before I leave next time

A local pub that is lively and definitely serves some interesting food. We ordered two different parmi and the portion was huge. We shared 2 between the three of us. There are quite a lot of Indonesian inspired dishes on the menu, and one of them is an Indo Parmi which we ordered and Mexican inspired Parmi. We enjoyed both. There's a little bit of heat from the jalapeno for the Mexican one and some red chilli for the Indonesian one. The Mexican one is interesting in that there are corn chips with sour cream on a bean sauce while the Indonesian one has bright lime flavours with fresh bean sprouts and spring onions with cheese. Both were succulent.

I was looking forward to coming here after a great day at Hamelin bay. Being the only pub for miles we couldn’t wait to go for dinner. The friendly bar staff are literally the only good thing I could say. The food is putrid! I’ll start with the beef rendang I’ve been around indo and Malaysia so was looking forward to this They served a tiny spoonful of actual curry with a huge amount of stodgy rice and some ā€˜salad’ The curry itself was just yellow slop, not even the right colour and tasteless, how do you make a curry so bad? Even the rice was awful Wife ordered the parmi The chicken schnitzel was so bad, like it was reheated or the cheapest ones they could find, I could not believe how bad it was. Even the chips that came with it were not even cooked properly!! Son had mie goreng , didn’t touch it, just a mess of burnt noodles with who knows what stirred in. I may add I ordered the indo dishes as there was an Indonesian lady working there, maybe a manger? $112 for 3 meals a beer and a wine I could not believe the disgusting food that was served, quite possibly the worst meal I’ve had in WA It can’t be a chef working in the kitchen, if it is I’d be checking his references. I would never ever eat here again, the servo next door has better food than the rubbish they serve up. The lady in the servo said there has been another person saying the same as I had. I’m more annoyed I didn’t ask for a full refund, we was that tired after that disappointment we just wanted to leave, didn’t even finish my...

The good stuff Nice atmosphere and some of the food like the pizza (seafood) and wedges were cooked beautifully in my opinion.

The bad stuff Me and 2 others in my camping group ordered the special steak with chips and salad. 2 chose well done while i got medium rare. The chips were fine... but the steaks.... were not. all three of our steaks had burnt and stiff surfaces and were described by one of the people having it as "made out of carbon". Seemed like they cooked the steaks on the cooking surface that is used for burger patties instead of a grill or a pan. Other steaks I have eating in other restaurants... heck... even the ones I cook myself did not make a tapping noise when lightly tapped. for me the inside was cooked medium rare while the outside... charcoal (mostly). I ate mines as I did not want to wait and to see what it is like while the other person asked for the steak to be remade (it was said that the manager was going to cook it)... it came out the same to a refund was requested. For me it was sort of alright except for the burnt after taste that came with it... i should have asked for a refund. Waste of $45.

Edit: " it came out the same to a refund was...

Worst meal and service Ive ever experienced in my life time. Steak wasn't edible as it was so raw I was forced to leave it. Whole meal swimming in strong garlic sauce that made the chips soggy. Attempted to return the meal to the kitchen, stood there like an idiot holding my plate and being ignored. Eventually interrupted the chef and waitress asking them to remove the garlic soup and cook the steak but they refused to take my meal back. I was offered a tiny cup saucer to empty the sauce, waitress rolled her eyes at me and slammed the plate down on the table. I understand mistakes happen in the kitchen and you can occasionally get a bad meal however I would never treat a customer that way. I was offered no apology, no refund and no replacement. The least they could have done was get rid of the sauce and put the steak back on the grill but they wouldn't even do that for me. I would strongly suggest not eating at this establishment as they don't deserve the business. I think the owner needs to know about this so he can hire new staff as people will stop coming here if they are treated this way. Wish I'd read the reviews before...
