Hi Guys, I had heard of this great cafe so I took my mum Wed and we had coffee & cake then I came back yesterday (Thurs) with my friends and all was going well until my Garlic Prawns arrived at the table - they were cold the garlic butter coagulated and the toast cold. I was disappointed but I proceeded to eat a prawn, it made me feel sick so my friends suggested I ask for the plate to be reheated I did, it came back lukewarm not what garlic prawns should be. Then it got 'ugly' I just passed it up as a bad experience buy my lovely friend who is like me in Customer Service called the cafe manager - Jade, she asked me if the prawns were hot - on the inside - what sort of question is that, it escalated from there I got offered a complimentary coffee only and my friend said I should get a full refund Jade the Cafe Manager told my friend she "had issues" what because she came to my defence? We got coffees - Jade proceeded to remind my friend she had to pay for her $4.50 coffee when we went downstairs to do so, Jade incredibly rudely told us both in front of other customers she doesn't want us back. Unbelievable! We will be speaking with Jason today and by the looks of the other staff in the office this isn't the first time you have behaved so unprofessionally with customers Jade. What could simply have been rectified with a "I am so sorry, please accept a credit or another meal" has now...
Read moreWe are regular guests at the Karrinyup Waters Resort, and were delighted to discover that this cafe had opened during our last absence up north over the winter time. The setting is comfortable, with lots of seating options, including an elevated area on the second floor, and plenty of small and larger tables on the deck. Not surprisingly, the massive sandy playground for smaller children has been a magnet for young mums seeking out a child-friendly spot in Gwelup, that serves tasty food, well made coffees, all at a reasonable price. We’ve enjoyed a number of meals here, including breakfast, lunches and dinners. The menu features a nice variety of options, including tasty entrees, staple favourites, and specials, and the Korean chef(s) often put a spicy Asian twist on the meals. Service is friendly, the premises clean, and meals are good value for money. Thankfully, KW Cafe has a BYO licence, so if you fancy a cold beverage with your meal, for a $5 corkage fee on wine, you can get an ice bucket if needed, and wine glasses. While the setting is definitely made for summertime fun, with overhead heaters in winter, you can still enjoy the cooler nights outside. Do yourself a favour, and get together here for a most enjoyable experience, right in the heart of...
Read moreCame hear for nieces b day. 8 of us ordered food. Came out nice and quick. I ordered the short rib. Dry and chewie even though smothered in sauce. Sauce was sickly sweet. You can tell it wasnt slow cooked and more pressure cooked by how dry the meat was. Not fall apart like a slow cooker.
Worse part was Dad had plastic in his food that he accidently swallowed told the restaurant staff they offered him more water. Showed them the plastic etc. No compensation or request ti refund his meal. Dad has since been to hospital to have exrays done and will be going back to have a camera put down his throat to see if anything stuck as it's still causing grief. Service was mediocre but what to expect. Teens that too cool to be there and don't know how to smile.
On the plus side. Play ground was great kids had a fantastic time and enjoyed the kids menu.
Sadly not a good day for niece bday had to be cut short because Dad accidently swallowing plastic that was left in his food. The plastic was somehow left in the...
