I ordered a veggie big breakfast and one of the bottled juices for myself, an omelette with chicken and a cappuccino for hubby. When my juice was brought to the table it was out of date. I waited at the counter for what felt like an eternity because all the waitresses were running around serving food. I can understand that they were quite busy, however I feel this place needs better management. There were quite a few staff members and yet there was always a line at the counter. There should be one person delegated to take orders, and if there's no one waiting to order, then they help the other waitresses. It was ridiculous how many people were waiting in line to order. When the food arrived at our table they served a big breakfast, not a veggie big breakfast. I was so hungry I didn't even bother telling them. The scrambled eggs had a funny taste and a weird texture. The omelette was mediocre and the chicken was dry. We wont be returning

Their version of the Tumeric latte (mine was dirty) is absolutely delicious with a strong honey flavour. It's a favourite and there's only a limited number of places around Ellenbrook & the Swan Valley that make it as good as that. I was disappointed that I couldn't order from the kids menu though and that's why I'm only giving 3 stars, (I've only got a small appetite) and they wouldn't allow half size serves, most other cafes in the area do allow this. They did cater to the allergies at our table though which was nice. I'd happily give a higher rating if they could be a little more flexible with their ordering. They certainly would make more money from me just with the quality of their coffee.

My wife asked for scrambled eggs, which are definitely not what we consider scrambled. I sent them back, but they came out exactly the same way (see photo). My wife ate the toast only. On the way out, my wife told the young lady that it was not scrambled. Her comment was that a lot of restaurants and cafes do them this way, not at the restaurants or cafes we go to.

I only go to LSZ for coffee, and with that, there are a couple of things I will say. The coffee is great. But, anybody who loves coffee knows that the quality depends on the barista, as much as it depends on the roast. At any given time, the coffee at LSZ is the second best in Ellenbrook/Aveley, behind Miss Me cafe. However, when the girl with tattoos and flesh tunnels is working, the coffee is #1. I think her name is Tanisha.

Aside from coffee, the atmosphere is usually pretty good. During the week, it's mostly mum's in active-wear, pretending to each other that they exercised that morning. On the weekends it's usually couples or friends from the upper middle class range.

What I will put LSZ down for is the layout though. Seating-wise it's fine. There are lots of tables, and its what you expect from a cafe. Ordering on the other hand. The counter is in a weird spot, in conjunction with the door. At busy times, the line will either curl out the door, or spread down between the tables. I also feel sorry for anyone sitting at the tall table opposite the counter, because they have to put up with people standing basically over them, while they wait to order. It was just a poor design choice. I like the open window to the side, for coffee service, but at the same time, people pretty much have to stand in the garden to avoid passers through. Not really the cafes fault, but it does effect the experience.

All in all, it's probably all around the best cafe in...

I have always had positive experiences at this venue until this morning. I ordered the gluten free banana and butterscotch pancakes. When my order came out, I confirmed with the waitress that this was definitely the gluten free pancakes as it didn’t look how I thought it would. She assured me it was. One small bite and I was instantly able to identify Nutella on the pancakes which is not gluten free, meaning I had been given the non gf pancake option on the menu. I went straight to the counter to say I have been given the wrong order and that I am gluten intolerant and was told “oh sorry, I’ll fix that for you”. Another 10 minutes later and the correct plate was brought out which looked nothing like what I had originally been given. By this stage the headache and stomach cramps had already set in so I asked for a take away container and left. The staff need to be more aware of dietary intolerances and understand that if they aren’t sure, don’t lie, find out! Very...
