We stopped here for a meal and a drink on our way back from Shark Bay and was delighted to find that they allow people to camp at the rear of the pub for free (if they stay for a meal and a drink). The tavern is a little gem and a great place to spend a few hours (or more) if you are in the area. The food is excellent and the team running the tavern are great. Ronnie gets a special mention as he looked after us for most of the evening and couldn't do enough for us (thanks again Ronnie). As for the camping, the rear of the pub mostly consists of flat compacted earth looking out across the neighbouring fields and a grass sports oval. It's a huge area and perfect for anything from tents to caravans. You can use the tavern toilets (when the tavern is open) otherwise its just a short walk across the grass to Nabawa Community Centre where there are immaculate toilets and sinks that are accessible 24/7 (there are no showers from what we could see). All up, the Nabawa Valley Tavern is great spot and we will most certainly be visiting again...
Read moreWe had a lovely overnight stop at the Nabawa Valley Tavern on our way back to Perth from Coral Bay. Fully self contained campers are able to stay on the open area behind the tavern free of charge (but of course, it always helps if you support the business by buying a couple of drinks or meals in return for a free spot to pull up overnight). We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children and 2 caravans. The flies were pretty friendly when we pulled up, so once we got our vans parked up it was straight to the tavern. We were given a friendly greeting and drinks were icy cold and served promptly. Our meals were fantastic - just what the doctor ordered after a long day of driving. The BBQ Beef Ribs were so tender (and the serve huge). Our friends had a Parmys, and the kids had spaghetti and chicken nuggets. We all struggled to finish our meals - we barrelled back to our vans with happy tummies and declared an early night. We were so full, we struggled to move 😂. Thank you Nabawa Valley Tavern for your hospitality, and our compliments...
Read moreThis place is a definite must go to place about 40k from Geraldton or less from Northampton. Free 72hrs stopover/rest stop behind the tavern. The tavern offers food throughout the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is out of this world (see pictures). The owners are very friendly and welcoming, providing great customer service. They hold here and there throughout the year Fijian BBQ buffets all you can eat with bouncy castles for the youngsters and heaps of outdoor shaded seating as well as the main bar and dining inside. They offer a wide range of beers, spirits, wine and cocktails. It’s very popular with not only the Nabawa residents but the people of Geraldton and Northampton. So even if you’re not wanting to park up for a night or two, do go visit the tavern you will not be...
