I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Today we finally did it. Coming here was our little adventure wandering on the outbound of the city. We had another family accompanying us. When we arrived the parking lot was quite full, but it was still fairly easy to find a spot. The place has a few dinning rooms scattered so we weren't sure of where was the concierge, front desk, or simply "where to go?". As we walked in, there were two staff members chatting at what could be the entrance. We were clearly arriving (pushing strollers, with puzzled faces) and wondering where to go. Never occurred them to acknowledge our arrival. So I needed to approach in order to find where our reserved table would be. The undercover dinning was very cosy. The decor is lovely. Our table was set right at the middle of the room, in front of a warm fireplace. There are blankets at guest's disposal. There was live music, quite enjoyable, not too loud, just perfect. And the singer had a beautiful voice. When booking I've required 2 highchairs and when we arrived I had to ask the waitress to bring them over (they didn't prepare as per the booking). After we were settled, no one came to our table to check if we would maybe order dome drinks... eventually I had to ask the waitress if table service was available or if we had to order at the counter. She then sent someone to take our orders. Food came in a timely manner, but the kids pasta was the last dish to arrive (ideal is kid's meal comes first). The presentation was good. The pasta sauce was very tasty. I wanted to order the pork belly, but was told it would not arrive in the place before 3pm (it was a quarter past 3pm and I was starving), so I then ordered crispy chicken. The black lentils was delicious, but unfortunately, the chicken was very dry. My husband had the lamb and it had a nice taste. He liked the sauce, but found the pasta a bit undercooked. Desert was good. They have this beautiful garden which interconnects with the dinning structures. They have a beautiful alfresco area and a nice playground. We had a very pleasant day. 3 stars because of the let down service and the food. I will return and try again. Maybe...
Read moreThank you for our event last night, the servers and bar staff were lovely and the food and setting as always amazing!
We would also like to apologise for not being there earlier than just before 5pm, unfortunately other vendor delays and trucks/traffic prevented us being as prepared as we would have hoped.
We just had a little bit of feedback, as I think that it's important to pass on for future events as some staff had mentioned when we did that it seems to be a bit of a ongoing thing. As below I stated we did have 67 adults and 7 children that would be eating, I was told we order that food on the day for the children, which is fine (my partner forgot to actually do this, again I apologise i did rectify later by paying at the bar) however when we got there they tried to charge children as adults, I thought i had done the right thing by advised there will be children, but in future we won't to avoid confusion and hassle with the paying process. Also I think due to the lack of communication we had it seems we were not aware we had to advise when to bring the food out and ot wasn't until nearly 40min into the event my partner was asked when they wanted to food, I feel if you are waiting for permission it would be fantastic to communicate these details prior to event, due to delay in the food coming out almost 1hr into the event we didn't have some food out until 7.30pm, which was 30min before the event end and dessert 7.45pm, 15min before the event end, as people had planned it to end around 8pm it meant more food not consumed, the staff mentioned this seems to be a bit of an issue, so I thought I would say we truly did enjoy the day and thank you so much for hosting this for us, but also thought I would mention a couple of areas that definitely would make it smoother for staff and event organisers.
Also bar staff were not aware of our tab and guest were paying for a decent chunk of time. I did email this to management, however recieved no response, aligned with poor communication tbh, disappointing, but now leaving the...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit Naked Apple Cider, located in a hidden corner of the highway. Despite its inconspicuous location, I was surprised to find a large crowd gathered there. The car park was nearly full, and the restaurant itself was about 80% occupied on a Saturday afternoon.
Dining at Naked Apple Cider was a unique experience as it was my first time enjoying a meal outdoors, surrounded by wild trees and sunlight. Fortunately, the weather was pleasant and added to the overall ambiance.
As a prawn lover, I must mention that I wouldn't personally recommend their prawns. However, this is solely based on personal preference.
Since we were seated outdoors, quite a distance away from the indoor counter, the attentiveness of the staff was not the best. While the staff members were polite, they often missed providing us with basic items such as utensils. I had to walk all the way to the indoor area to request them. Nonetheless, their attitudes remained polite and friendly.
Being a steak enthusiast, I ordered the Scotch Fillet cooked medium-rare. I was slightly disappointed when I sliced into it and found it to be more towards medium doneness.
Nevertheless, the steak itself was amazing! The initial bites were a bit tough and dry, but as I progressed towards the end, it became incredibly juicy and tender. And unfortunately!
Overall, Naked Apple Cider offers a lovely atmosphere and good food. The service is generally good, but they should pay more attention to customers seated outside the restaurant to ensure a seamless experience for everyone; i would have definitely gave higher ratings if this points...
