Northcliffe Workers Club — Restaurant in Western Australia

My wife and I had two meals at the club. On the first occasion my wife ordered the crumbed whiting, chips & salad. Although the whiting came out of a packet, the cook cooked them as requested. I ordered the rib fillet medium, chips and salad. The steak was extremely fatty and overcooked. The salad looked like it had been prepared earlier and was very tired. On the second occasion my wife had the crumbed whiting again. I did not want the chance of another fatty steak, so ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. When I was about to pay for the meal I queried the amount to be paid. I was informed the salad was $6. I wasn't prepared to pay that amount for a small fresh salad, let alone the prospect of receiving another wilted salad. When the meal arrived, the schnitzel was not a freshly made one but a commercial prepared one. Overall on both of our plates there was not one item that had been prepared by the cook. Yes! There was one item and that was a small piece of parsley. We will try the hotel next time, as the meal from the Northcliffe Workers club, was at a bistro price but as the cook did not prepare any of our meal, it is not...

Great value burgers starting at $8.50. I had a burger with the lot and the caramelised onion was a great touch. My husband's seafood platter had some items that were from the freezer rather than fresh products. Accompanying salad was good. Chips (not shoe string fries) sold separately which can make it more economical to share. Atmosphere a bit lacking when we were there but probably cos it was a Friday and everyone at Chase the Ace at the Northcliffe Pub....

Great place with good pub food and nice beers. Kangaroo snitzel. Very friendly staff, really welcoming. Nice locals to talk to and have a beer with. The best location in the woods too.
