Disgusting service! Wouldn’t come here again!! Booked in for a night at the Rydges to enjoy my birthday with my husband & thought we will go down stairs to enjoy dinner together… got sat down ,all good … then sat there for half a hour not being served, no drinks no nothing , mind you it wasn’t that busy either as we watched the 2 people working just wondering around more interested in watching the kids playing out side, anyways we understand things happen so we thought we will go up & ask if we can order our food, my husband went up & simply asked that & the girl gave him attitude & just said to him “yes I was coming in a minute” so she then came back to our table & just stood there and looked at us ,didn’t say a word like sorry for the wait ? What can I get you? Absolutely nothing just a blank stair at us like we were the idiots for asking to order… so we told her look don’t worry we will just go somewhere else, even then all she said was “yeah okay” the vibe in the place was already off when we got there with another table looking around waiting to be served! As we got up to leave they looked at us & agreed! We said to the bloke at the bar that originally sat us down that “don’t worry we’re going now” & all your staff could say back was “yeah okay, no worries” so you guys obviously don’t want any customers so I guess that’s what you will be getting?! We would have re booked to come back with all my family to celebrate but will no way be...

The restaurant manager, Carrie (apologies if incorrect), was amazing. I have a couple of broken toes, the weather was atrocious (resulting in foot paths flooding) and have had weight-loss surgery so can't eat full/main meals.

She was friendly, polite, understood the weather, understood my dietary restrictions and was accommodating of my health/physical needs.

Dinner was served hot, promptly and was better than discussed/imagined. The wait/delivery-lady was also friendly, presented well and accommodating, bringing it inside to my table and letting me know if I needed anything to just call.

The food was delicious and much better than I thought I would be able to order. While the room service menu mentioned nothing about drinks being available, after my discussion with Carrie, the perfect bottle of red was also able to be ordered/included. The bonus delicious sweet treats were exactly what the doctor ordered with a "broken foot" and awful weather.

Carrie was respectful of her staffs wellbeing as well, discussing with me timing of my meal vs. safety of delivery and the reality of weather. Yet my meal arrived safely and not even 15minutes after being ordered.

Dined here and had such a delicious meal and great experience that went back the next night. Food was absolutely delicious! Had the crusted salmon with vege, salmon was cooked to perfection as was vege , beautiful and crisp with delicious flavour. Tried the fish tacos the next night and they were fabulous! The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and looked after, she is a credit to the Rydges company. Staff are very friendly and remembered what we were drinking the previous night.
