Redgum Wine Estate — Restaurant in Western Australia

Having visited the winery a few times previously to marry couples, I had already purchased and loved some of the fantastic wines from Redgum, so I knew that I absolutely needed to return to try the food! I was not disappointed! We had a wine tasting first of all- and it was such a treat to be led through the extensive range by Ben, the owner. Every wine was delicious, and came with a beautiful story- this winery holds it's family at the very core, and it is delightful to see that the wines are all aptly named by the people who are most dear to them.

Now let's talk food! Our entree- The Suzette- this sounded wonderful and it exceeded out expectations- a soft, flavoursome cheese generously drizzled with honey and shaved macadamias- served with little toast crackers- made us both want to lick the plate!

We shared the infamous crayfish and prawn croissant- which was sensational- with a pop of mustard in the mayonnaise that gave it just the right tang! We also shared the beef cheek, which was meltingly tender and perfectly accompanied by the smoothest mash potato and crispy kale.

Sadly, there was no room left for dessert, but we will return to try one another day!

Going to Redgum is like being welcomed with a toasty warm hug by the beautiful owners and staff, we stayed for 3 hours and no-one rushed us to leave! And of course, we had to purchase a few bottles of wine to continue the experience at home.

After driving past several times on our weekend drives my fiance and I finally decided to stop in and check out the sights. We were blown away! The location of the winery is stunning. The beautiful balcony looks out over rolling luscious green hills providing the perfect atmosphere for a delicious lunch and tasting of amazing wines. Before sitting down for some lunch we had a one on one wine tasting with Ben. His knowledge and passion was infectious... He took us on a journey through his wines and his wine making process. It was a lovely intimate experience unlike other places we have been. (We even got to try something from the special cabinet🤫) With Ben's guidance we were able to curate the perfect 6 pack of wines to take home with us. Lunch didn't disappoint either, the food was amazing and even though we only got small entree plates - paired with a glass of wine of course! We left satisfied and excited to return!

If I recall correctly,there is only one other winery in this whole region ( Wise, Eagle Bay )with an ocean view, so something pretty unique here in the Peel region!

This is exactly what Dwellingup needed. No need to drive to Perth Hills or Ferguson valley all the time, you have the Redgum Wine Estate as your local now!
