We were in Pemberton for 4 nights at the beginning of October 2021, and visited the here twice. It would have been more but it was only by chance that we found it on the third day. (I hope the Visitor Information Centre in Pemberton adds it to their list of things to do.) The driveway is long and single lane and decorated with potholes, but that just makes the end result more rewarding. We sat outside with our hot chocolates - the best we have ever had - and our selection of hand made chocolates, and watched the Splendid Wrens bouncing around only metres away. My favourite chocolates are the salted caramel and the coffee truffle. Thanks too to the owner/chocolatier/operator and the charming staff who added to the experience with their warmth and friendliness on a cold and wet day. Will definitely drop in again next time in the Pemberton region. Can't see us buying chocolates anywhere else before then. Feb/March 2022. Returned to Pemberton and of course wanted to see if the chocolates and hot chocolate and lovely people, were still there. And they were. It is still the place against which we will judge all other hot chocolates. We tried some of the delightful new varieties of handmade chocolates, though the coffee truffle is still our favourite. We went everyday and sat outside to drink our hot chocolates, eat our chocolate treats, watch the splendid wrens hopping around in front of us, and chat to the many other people on holiday enjoying probably the nicest treasure in the area. They even have space for self-contained caravanners who want to stay on site. Oh, and the driveway was pothole free. Feb/March 2023. Back in Pemberton, part of which was looking forward to our daily chocolate fix here. Always a joy to try new flavours from the constantly expanding range. Good too to be able to sit at the newly added picnic tables and enjoy the sun. Still not sure which is best, the chocolates or the lovely people.

** A Sweet Stop Worth Every Bite! 🍫✨** My partner & I visited Southern Forest Chocolate Company on the 18th of October and had the best time! **Kate** served us and she was an absolute delight — so friendly, cheerful, and full of laughter that it instantly brightened our day. She even went out of her way to take photos for us against the beautiful backdrop of purple flowers — such a lovely gesture! Her recommendations were spot on — the hot chocolates (75% dark and 55% dark) were mind-blowingly delicious! Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — pure chocolate heaven. 😍 The chocolate selection was amazing — every bite was silky, decadent, and oh-so-scrumptious. The café was cozy, the views were gorgeous, and we even snagged some truffle salt to take home. Can’t wait to visit again on our next trip down south — this place is an absolute gem!

What a lovely business! We bought various truffles and rocky road. Everything was so delicious! We stumbled upon this hidden gem and it was a delightful surprise! The dark chocolate was creamy and tasty, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee too. To top it off, a rainbow appeared while we were enjoying our coffee, adding to the refreshing ambiance. This place is definitely worth a visit! The truffles are absolutely delicious and the owners are incredibly helpful. It's evident that everything is made on-site and fresh. Hands down, this was the best chocolate we've ever had! It truly was one of the highlights of our holiday. We were warmly welcomed, offered a cup of coffee, and treated to delectable chocolates. If you're in the area, make sure to take the time to stop by. You won't regret it.

If you're a chocolate lover, this family-run chocolate business is an absolute must-visit! You can feel the passion and dedication that goes into every product. The chocolate is hand-crafted using local ingredients, and you can truly taste the difference. Each piece is made with such love and care—it’s clear that quality is their top priority.

The variety of chocolates is fantastic, with something for everyone, whether you prefer dark, milk, or white chocolate. The flavors are rich and indulgent, and the textures are perfect—smooth, creamy, and utterly satisfying.

The coffee is outstanding too, a perfect compliment to their delicious treats.

A special thanks to Kate for her warm welcome and hospitality. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the products added a personal touch to the experience.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys high-quality chocolate—and if you're a coffee lover too, you won’t be disappointed! We'll definitely be back for more. Thank you again,...
