We have been looking around for a decent breakfast cafe for a while and Spill the Beans will be our go to for a Sunday breakfast from now on. I ordered a big breakfast and my partner got the breakfast stack that appeared appetising on the menu. I got my big breakfast with poached eggs and sourdough. Our coffee was the best I’ve had in the Mandurah area and I will be frequenting Spill the beans for takeaway coffee from now on. We also ordered a lemon meringue as a sort of breakfast treat to try as my partner is a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to lemon meringue. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to her expectations however a lot better than other places in and around Mandurah. Should be made from real lemon curd and more pastry crust in the base and less lemon in the middle and slightly more meringue on top to even it out. I am not disappointed though as to me it was still quite nice, my partner is a very good home baker so she tends to judge more highly. But no fault with the food or coffee - really excellent and we will be coming back again soon. I wanted to mention the service here too was excellent as we didn’t wait too long at all - super quick given there were quite a few people there....

Was here several months ago and I remember the food was good, but today I was so disappointed by my breakfast. It’s not cheap to dine out and with the 10% extra charge today I really felt robbed of a meal worth paying for. All up it was just shy of $60 for two breakfasts and one chai. These prices are unfair when your food comes out with no love in the cooking. My baked beans were out of a can and microwaved… the hash browns definitely came from a box… I don’t understand how a kitchen can actually use canned baked beans and justify its pricing… it’s lazy. The service was lovely, and I was offered some money back and two complimentary coffees. Honestly, the front of house staff saved the moment, especially the barista, I can see how nurturing she was to one of the young staff members but the kitchen really need to up their game. My partner finished off my food as I couldn’t eat it, at the same time, he didn’t rate his food either, but doesn’t like to make a fuss like me. I decided to write a review not to complain but to hopefully encourage the chef to put in nearly as much passion into his cooking like the barista showed to us in her service and Chai. You’re meant to be...

The best cafe experience i have had in Australia since the Old Paper shop Deli in Melbourne existed. Staff were attentive, the food brilliant, (try the hash brown stack) and the manager right on the ball with service and interaction. Such a refreshing place to spend a Sunday morning by the beach.

1.30pm 27/12/2022 After such a great breakfast a few weeks ago I thought lets see if lunch can be as good. It was indeed. Another 5 star experience. Did a stack with smoked salmon which was amazingly good. I dont get out much for a dining experience but this cafe makes it so worthwhile. Well done again.

10am 29/04/2023 With the in laws in town, and wishing to show the ambience of the Southwest thought that Spill the Beans was the place for brunch. It did not fail. Was very busy and still the personalized service was there. Food was great and as always, presented well. A brunch that was truly memorable on a sunny...

A nice spot a short walk from the water serving classic Australian fare. Overall the food was good with interesting options and a good variety. The "gourmet" wrap was pretty basic and the kids nuggets and chips was small for the price compared to local spots. Coffee was well made and tasted good, with good latte art on some of the drinks. Some of the outdoor furniture seemed like a bit of an afterthought (think temporary folding tables and plastic chairs) but I suspect that's because we visited in summer and they had to accommodate the increased tourist trade? Staff were lovely. Overall, we enjoyed it, and would go back again if in the area.
