Stone's Throw Café — Restaurant in Western Australia

I questioned the other three star review this cafe has gotten as it was from a month ago and I'm new to the area. But my experience was similar. First time I've gone to this cafe the coffee has taken 20 minutes to be served. Albiet this was during a busy time, so I thought I'd give it another go. Next trip, again 20 minutes. Other people who came in after me being served first, they seem to forget your order and have to come and ask what you've ordered as they've lost the ticket. Not sure what system they've got going on but doesn't seem like a very efficient one with losing tickets all the time. The staff are nice but only offer a 'whoops, sorry", no compensation for taking 20+ mins and losing your order. Coffees okay, pretty average, the wait time is a big turn off in terms of making me want to...

Food Is great. Affordable and Tasty. Coffee is really good as well. But the service is Poor. I waited until my 2nd visit to review as wanted to see if Poor service was a one off. But had same experience again. For the 2nd time. We watched people order after us get served drinks and food first. Roughly 40 minutes we waited patiently until I spoke up (again like last time). It was like Dejavu. It's after i noticed they were washing up and no drinks or food were being made. Then I realised they lost our order again. All we got for the 2nd straight time was a sorry. No compensation for Poor service again.

So we won't be going here again unfortunately. Its a shame. Cause food is good. But not putting up with awful service everytime. Obviously if we had received good service. This would be a easy 5...

Quirky cafe inside the door of the IGA. Good place for a meeting of up to four people. Popular local spot. Once inside you have to exit through IGA registers, staff are very hospitable, even the register staff are very attentive.

I really enjoyed my flat white and the bacon and egg burger with BBQ sauce.

Cold drinks available with a cafe food and drink menu. BYO welcome (bottle shop next door).
