I recently had the privilege of savoring an experience that I can only describe as divine – the Bleu Porterhouse Steak, partnered with crispy chips and a tantalizing pepper sauce at the infamous Lazy Crab, located south of Mandurah in Bouvard. From the very moment my fork met that succulent masterpiece, my taste buds embarked on a journey of unparalleled pleasure.
The steak's appearance alone was a feast for the eyes. Its intricate marbling and perfectly seared surface promised an adventure that my palate eagerly awaited. The first bite was a revelation – an impeccable blend of tenderness and texture, accompanied by a medley of flavors that seemed to dance in harmony. Each mouthful unveiled layers of richness, a delicate smokiness, and a hint of tang that kept me captivated.
The chips, a seemingly simple side, were a delightful surprise. Their golden exterior crunched satisfyingly, revealing a pillowy softness within that provided a wonderful contrast to the steak's robust character. Together, they formed a partnership that was both comforting and invigorating.
And then there was the pepper sauce – a stroke of genius. Its velvety touch embraced the steak, infusing it with a gentle warmth that accentuated the existing flavors. The sauce's boldness added a new dimension, an elevated layer of taste that enhanced the overall experience without overshadowing the star of the show.
In retrospect, my encounter with the Bleu Porterhouse Steak, chips, and pepper sauce trio was nothing short of extraordinary. As a humble customer, I was treated to a symphony of tastes, textures, and aromas that left an indelible mark on my culinary journey. This ensemble wasn't just a meal; it was a revelation, an invitation to explore the heights that exquisite food can reach. Each element was a note, and together they created a masterpiece that I will fondly remember as a high point in my dining adventures.

The Lazy Crab could have been rubbish and people would still have to go due to the location. However, it was a very pleasant experience.
The staff were warm and inviting, a perfect mix of attentive and relaxed. They are all clearly very happy to work there and made us feel so welcome.
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. I had the stuffed lamb rump and my wife had the crab linguine (had to try right?). Both were great and huge. The prices were also very reasonable.
They also had a good selection of beer at $10 a pint and a well stocked bottle shop.
I would probably go slightly out of my way to stop there again to be honest.
Only downsides were the kids playground was shut until further notice. But the child of mine was happy running around the dining room and grounds (it was a quiet night).
Seems to be a decent local atmosphere in there as well, they have a pool table and a covered beer garden with a dancing stage. I bet it can get rowdy in there on...
Read moredon’t know what’s happened at Lazy Crab lately, but it’s clear they’ve well and truly flopped it. First off, the classic parmi nights a long-time crowd favourite, has lost all its appeal. Not only have they upped the price, but now you can’t even get a basic schnitzel on special night? That was half the drawcard!
Then there’s the steak sandwich. A “160g porterhouse” sounds good on paper, but what you actually get is 3 pieces of dry steak that might as well be a 2-minute steak, stacked on each other No flavour, no juiciness—just disappointing. & for $32, you would expect it to be premium.
And let’s talk about the beef burger. It used to be decent, but now it’s been rebranded as a “smash patty,” which is honestly laughable. What you’re getting is a thick, bland, homemade-style rolled mince patty that has zero resemblance to an actual smash burger. More like a meatball on a bun. Aswell as the cheaper bread.
Lazy Crab used to be reliable, but lately it feels like they’re cutting corners and cashing in. Lifting prices while dropping quality is not a good look. Apart from the atmosphere is nice and the ladies behind the...
