Verge 301 Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

Was looking for a place to have breakfast and came across this Cafe and thought we would give it a try. First impressions were great, could smell the food being cooked and the prices for things seemed really reasonable so went to order a big break for myself and the girl behind the counter said there's about a 30 minute wait on food... so we thought about it and decided to wait, it wasn't an issue. Then I ordered my partners breakfast which was an eggs benedict and the girl said "no it's too long of a wait". Confused I asked is breakfast not going anymore? And she said "no it is" so I said ok can I have the eggs benne then and she said "it will be a 35, 40" minute wait. I looked at her really confused and just felt like she couldn't be bothered with our custom because there were only 2 people eating breakfast inside so they were not busy at all. I really wanted to like this place, it looks lovely and inviting, is obviously popular with the grey nomads but that's where it ends. There was only one person serving and cooking so the wait was around 20 - 30 mins, they weren't doing everything on the menu. My partner ordered a bacon egg and cheese toasted sandwich each, a vanilla slice and carrot cake. The toasted sandwiches ($9 each) were dry, only came with 2 pieces of bacon, 1 egg and that's it. It had no cheese and no sauce, so it was very dry and hard to eat. My partner liked the vanilla slice but the carrot cake i couldn't taste any carrot, all i could taste was sugar and cinamon, it was so sweet i couldn't finish it. Really disappointing considering it all looked so good on paper, unfortunately I'm not sure I'll go back and i won't be recommending...

Wow just Wow! You must come and visit this place so you can calibrate your service meter? Like something out of a British sitcom the Menu was tossed at us when asked and then she disappeared out the back? When asked for toilet paper she opened the toilet door & the plastic paper housing was thrown on the floor? Haha I had a sit and a giggle. Was told burgers didn't start till 11 but no problems cooking a big breakfast with toast!
