William St Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Western Australia

I've come here to this humble fish and chip shop that used to literally in my opinion top 3 fish and chip shop in Perth. However with the last visit found the quality of the food that I was served to have dropped to a level I would describe as not fit for human consumption. The squid rings were good the scallop was decent However the fish the main course in what is fish and chips? Wow that is cardboard with batter. It what it is I got the standard fish not sure what fish that even was but it tasted cheap and nasty and way overcooked now the barramundi I paid a fortune for... It was a bit of fish with a mountain of batter... Overcooked drastically. Meal was $50 for what in my opinion wasn't worth half that money. As others have said place was quiet and time to move on. They've killed this place. Never would I visit this place again knowing what I will get. You are forewarned that the new owners have run this place into the ground with low...

After waiting 30 minutes for our food (which I can understand and forgive on a Friday night) I get home to find that it's only half there! I was missing a piece of fish and a serve of chips. I called to complain and was told ok you can come back and grab it, I said find I'll come back right now. Then when I get there I wait a further 10 minutes while they continue to serve other people even though the other half of our dinner is at home going good, and get finally given 2 extra peices of fish and no chips...When I query this and say I only needed one extra piece of fish but was also missing a serve of chips I get told I can come back tomorrow, how the hell does that help me with tonight's dinner? DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE! the worst I have ever...

Absolutely disgusting! We ordered a family fish and chips and got enough chips for 2 people. When we rung back we were told that that's how many chips you get... When you order a family pack and it has fish for four people why would you not get enough chips for 4 people? They did not give us more chips and we were rudely spoken to when we called. I am not just a new customer as I am a local and We have been going there for 10 years regularly and have seen it through good and bad but the last 6months we've been getting ripped off. The portions are getting smaller and the staff are getting ruder. It's a real shame they don't care as they have just lost long...
