Wisteria's Edge — Restaurant in Western Australia

Came for morning tea on Sunday morning. It was busy but the service, although friendly , was very very slow. Coffee only just warm and the cake - caramel mud cake was stale . It tasted exactly the same as caramel mud cake that you buy from the cheesecake shop. It so solid that I couldn’t eat it. I know mud cake is fairly solid but this cake seemed as if it had been sitting on the shelf for a while. The young girl taking the orders was efficient but given the queue of people I would think a better system of taking orders should be set up rather than writing absolutely everything long hand. This makes for an extended wait if the people in front of you are ordering breakfast for a group where everyone wants something different. Outside there were many tables that had not been cleared away and were full of dirty dishes. Our table had dirty dishes from previous people but even when we were finally brought our order, the girl just walked away and left them there. I know it’s hard to get staff these days but I didn’t see any more mature age workers who were supervising- maybe they were in the kitchen - not sure but overall I felt that the level of service was poor. Ordered a long mac 3/4 topped up today which is usually a strong coffee and this is what we got. When we asked the staff to make it stronger they charged us for an extra shot. It barely looks like it has coffee in it. When we asked the waiter if it’s this weak usually, he told us he “thinks so”. You can excuse it if a mistake was made or someone was being trained, but for the staff to look at the coffee and say that’s what it’s supposed to look like is poor. Not my typical usual stopover point for a coffee but it was convenient for a quick coffee while waiting for a call back. Well presented coffee shop that do take away as well as dining in. The vibe was a relaxed atmosphere, I say that because I was watching the people enjoying a coffee and chat, as well as the people using the takeaway window option. I also noted how busy they were which is typically indicative of a good & popular place. Would I visit them...
