We went out on a detour to get here, but boy was it worth it. Friendly "baker" blokes would greet you with a smile and give you the run down of whats available and would even take the time to explain to the details of their produce. Come at the right times of the day and they'll tell you to hang around a for a few minutes so that they can pull out the freshest bread for you - hot off the rack. We had a chuckle when we asked "how long do the bread last". His response "To be completely honest, for many customers, they usually only last from here to the car. By the time they reach the car, they finished their loaf and need to come back to get another one!". He was right, we returned back from the car and got three more just to get out of the area - they were that good!

Place only does bread, dont expect a restaurant or cafe - bring your own accompaniments to go with if you want to enjoy the bread hot out of the oven. Surrounding wooded area to the carpark were pleasant and there's large tree stumps to act as makeshift tables to...

Even though the oven was broken the day before they managed to still pump out some bread and gorgeous treats which I picked up warm at 4pm.

The wave loaf didn’t make it without a few slabs missing cause it was still warm and filled the car with yummy fragrance (the next day it was preferable to be toasted.)

The treats were yummy the custard jam pod thingy was Devine. But having a savory preference that day, I absolutely adored the rosemary salted twisted kind of croissant - sorry I don’t remember the names. Delicious. I ate while driving and got flakey crumbs all over myself years since I’ve done that it was so so good and absolutely worth the detour and the late night car vacuuming session!! Thankyou so much I gifted the triangle loaf of rye called the rock to a rye...

As you approach the bakery, you can smell the woodsmoke, an aroma that is replaced by the irresistible smell of fresh baked bread as you wander past the lavender to the counter. We love this bakery for the fact they use biodynamic flours, we come back each time because of the amazing quality of the bread itself. We generally favour the denser rye styles but cannot resist the fruit loaf, which is choc full of figs and sultanas and spices. It also toasts beautifully with a really light crust that is super crispy (slathering with butter is mandatory). Timing is essential - first bakes come out mid afternoon but the fruit loaf is only available after 4pm. Their bread is available in other locations, but we really enjoy the trip out to the...

A great natural and tasty sourdough bread available on your way to Margaret River. You could make a choice from white wheat loaf, rye bread, wholemeal and fruit loaf. I became a fan of the white loaf and fruit loaf which is full of dry fruits including dates, figs and sultanas bought at the another branch in the Margaret River and made sure to drop by the Yallingup shop on our way return to Perth. Bread are ready in late afternoon. If you are lucky you can see a bunch of kangaroos in the garden.

Very popular bakery a few kilometres out of Dunsborough, luckily we got there 15mins before the 4.00pm removing of the fruit loaf from the oven. There were about 50 people queued up waiting, we were 3rd in line, so it was a pleasant for us and we immediately drove to The Big Rock Reserve with our picnic basket complete with plates, bread knife and butter where we sat down on the rock enjoying the view towards Dunsborough and beautiful Geographe Bay. Highly recommended.

While driving through to Margaret River we were looking for this bakery and followed the signs from Caves Road. We were led all the way to the bakery. Look out for a fiery symbol and bakery with arrows. There were quite a few options of sourdough made with different flours. They also had a fruit loaf that was laden with fruit and honey. Good artisan bread with flavours to match.
