We were so spoilt today. We were lucky enough to win a picnic hamper from Yirrj Grove. They are currently closed for renovations , though Anne still opened up for us to organise the collection of our amazing picnic hamper. We even got a tour of their olive farm which was totally unexpected. My 5 year old daughter was so excited as she got to feed some goats and collect eggs I have been blown away with the amazing hospitality. Today was one of those moments where I felt so grateful. Anne the Lamb pastries you made and that Fritata .. omg they were mount watering delicious . The scones were incredible ! Every part of our hamper was just delicious. We will definitely be calling into Yirri Grove on our next trip to Esperance. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and the delicious...

Read moreExtremely disappointing lunch - an old shed on a dry dusty property, no atmosphere at all to the point of awkwardness. “Tasting plate” for $30 was some Sakata crackers, 4 thin slices of warm non-descript cheese, a blob of runny pickle, some chutney and olive tapenade, more black olives than anyone needs and, admittedly some nice warm bread and average olive oil. Only one type of olive and oil - so not sure what we were “tasting”. Steak sandwich was very ordinary with only half a piece of toast on top and a lot of coleslaw not as a side but as the salad in the burger, which also had a sweet chilli sauce and a confusing Aussie flag toothpick. Lots of roast potatoes which were tasty but not crispy. Not what we expected and would not recommend as an experience or...
