Pitstop Cafe # — Restaurant in Woodenbong

We were warned about a 15 min wait which was ok. Knowing a little about the trade, I waited for 20 min before inquiring about our meals. Another 10 mins spent waiting at the counter with no communication while a sullen waitress threw her hands around. She finally shouted out that someone else had 'taken' our meal. I have no problem with an incorrect service, mistakes happen; but the meal wasn't 'taken' but 'given' to someone else, but more importantly no apology in any shape was offered. Common courtesy would have been an apology; "we are terribly sorry but it seems we have served your meal to someone else". Easy. Professionalism would have been an apology along with a coffee while we waited nearly an hour for a burger and a steak sandwich. One star is for the burger which was good, but nothing for the service, the inept and disinterested waitress and the other meal. Step up the courtesy - its a rare and sort...

Great little roadside stop for a pie & coffee, as I had, or there’s a good range of full cooked breakfasts, snacks, burgers & meals. Really friendly staff who coped well with the mid-morning rush on this cooler Saturday. Good range of indoor/outdoor dining, nice coffee & a really relaxed Aussie atmosphere. The building was obviously once a service station & the remnant fuel pumps add to the old-school charm. Have visited a number of times & the service is always consistent. Great chips!...

A group of 20 bikes turned up for lunch here today, Cafe was advised by the ride leader during the week to expect us and at what time. Cafe was relatively quiet on arrival (only 2 other groups, of about 4 people each). 90 mins later, there was still half a dozen of our group who had not received their food, and ended up having to ask for a refund. Staff were unapologetic and also seemed quite defensive and affronted when asked why our food was taking so long. Won't be getting my...
