Ihad a delightful visit to Melba's Chocolate Factory and it was an absolute treat! Here are some highlights: Pros: - **Free Tastings:** The free samples are a fantastic way to try a variety of chocolates before deciding what to buy. It’s a chocolate lover’s paradise! - **Wide Variety:** The selection is amazing, with everything from classic milk chocolates to unique flavors like lemon myrtle and chilli chocolate. There's something for everyone. - **Charming Atmosphere:** The factory has a cozy, welcoming vibe. You can see the chocolates being made, which adds to the experience. - **Friendly Staff:** The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They’re happy to answer questions and provide recommendations. - **Family-Friendly:** It’s a great place for a family visit. Kids will love watching the chocolate-making process and sampling the goodies. - **Great Gift Options:** Perfect place to pick up unique and delicious gifts for friends and family Cons: - **Busy on Weekends:** It can get quite crowded on weekends, so visiting during weekdays might offer a more relaxed experience. - **Limited Seating:** There’s limited seating if you want to sit and enjoy your chocolates on-site. Overall, Melba's Chocolate Factory is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. The combination of free tastings, a wide variety of chocolates, and a charming atmosphere makes it a perfect outing. Highly recommend!

I've been meaning to visit this place for a while and was pleased to finally have the chance last Saturday. The factory is in the industrial area of Woodside. It looks large from the outside, but the actual shop area is quite a bit smaller, which makes sense as they need room to package items, etc. It was a bit disappointing to see that there is no chocolate tasting on offer, except for a choice of a few types at the sales counter. So, there is no tasting of peanut clusters or rocky road, just milk and dark chocolate and rum and raisin. Plus, you need to ask for a piece, so you probably end up tasting one or two small pieces of chocolate. I've been to other factories where they are more generous with their tasting options. The prices are extremely high, and though, the chocolate is tasty, would be beyond the reach of many. I did enjoy the hot chocolate from the cafe and would purchase one again when in the area. I recommend visiting on a weekday as it does get very busy on the weekends.

We visited Melba’s Chocolates as part of our easter trip to Adelaide. The shop is clean and well presented. The staff are nice. You can have a glimpse of their manufacturing area. We bought some products and its a little bit pricey for me. The chocolate shot taste nice but too sweet for my liking. We tried the White Chocolate melba bar, still too sweet and there was a tangerine or citrusy like after taste which is a little bit weird. The milk chocolate marsmallow texture is nice but also too sweet and still has this weird tangerine like aftertaste. Im wondering if if its really the normal taste or has some sort of cross contamination from other flavoured lollies. The Chocolate shot doesn’t have this tangerine-like aftertaste. Overall, just too sweet for my liking. Other products that we bought we need to try it to see if it has this aftertaste.
