Simon Tolley Cellar Door & Accommodation — Restaurant in Woodside

We hired Simon Tolley Lodge for 2 nights for our wedding accomodation. The accomodation and views are both absolutely stunning. The house is large, with 5 bedrooms, which was perfect for myself and my bridesmaids the stay the night before our wedding. We set-up the make-up and hair stations in the large living area and there was ample space for 8 women to get ready for the big day, along with enough space for the 2 flower girls to sit and play together. The kitchen is large with quality appliances, allowing us to make our own dinner the night before and our own breakfast grazing table for the morning of. Each room was large, clean and quality. So many amazing photo opportunities on the property as well. My now husband and I stayed the night of our wedding at the accomodation as well and it was the perfect place to come back to and a beautiful view to wake up to as a married couple. This is a family operated winery on a 27 hectare vineyard in Woodside, Adelaide Hills.

The firm belief is that great wine is fermented and bottled best where it's grown. That’s why these guys do it all themselves.

There’s a tasting fee at the cellar door but this is standard practice now. Plus, it’s worth paying too.

Our visit to Simon Tolley Winery in Woodside, just a short drive from Adelaide, was an absolute delight. Simon himself hosted our tasting, sharing insightful stories about his wines and the vineyard's history with genuine humility. His wines are truly magnificent, and we couldn't resist taking some bottles home with us.

Adding to the charm of the experience was their friendly dog, Tilly, who stole the show with her affable nature.
