Pretty average and disappointing for a country bakery, missed the mark for me.
Staff need a course in coffee making as stated by others. I made sure I watched and asked exactly how I like my coffee, a short double mac, wasnāt a bad outcome in the end. Mushroom pie was underwhelming, pastry not very flakey or tasteful, more like a warmed up villies pie fresh out the oven and filling was well under seasoned lacking flavour and lacking chucks of meat more gravy then filling. Small Kitchener bun was also underwhelming, doe was nice but the cream was too sweet and like cream out of a spray can bakers cream. Vanilla slice was half the size of any other bakery you get and the vanilla custard was too firm and set, pastry also slightly soggy and over missed the mark.
Was worth a try being the only Bakery between Ceduna and pt august but definitely missed the mark...

The food tasted great, although the selection was limited to only two types of pies, three pasties, and a few sausage rolls were there. However, what they lacked in variety, they more than made up for in taste. The pasties and pies were particularly delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Thereās ample seating with plenty of tables and chairs outside, as well as a few tables inside. Itās a fantastic spot for a lunch break on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe especially drove here on our way to the Gawler Rangers to buy some Sourdough after being told about this bakery while in Elliston. We were not disappointed, not only did they have delicious Sourdough loaves, bonus was they also had generously filled sourdough salad rolls full of fresh, quality ingredients, (thought we were back in a boutique cafe in Melbourne!) that we were able to take on with us to the Gawler Ranges. Coffee was also delicious. Needless to say we went back again to buy more sourdough to take to the Flinders Ranges. Get there early if you want sourdough, it sells...
