December 2024:- Back again for lunch. They keep changing things up and it is lovely. Great service!! Lots of smiling helpful "Crew". Menu is amazing. 🥰 *1/2 star off today as the flies were quite bad where we were located. I think communication was a bit lost in my booking. We wanted to be outside undercover, however the more slightly enclosed under coveral area - they didn't appear to be swatting away the little pests every 3 seconds from their meal. Also made it a little difficult to eat. However that didn't really put a damper on our lovely family time lunch. 🍽️ Hope to be back before another year is up with our 93 year old Mum. 💝 ******************************** 2022 I think:- My first time here. My brother and sister in law really liked it, so we went for lunch. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Service was great. 😃 2 of us had the Garden salad with Chicken - delicious. A treasure trove of various greens with Radichio, radish and a lovely vinaigrette. 1 had the Garden Supreme salad with Chicken and my brother the Lamb. All enjoyed the food immensely. Pop outside to the Kombi vans and you can get a wonderfully refreshing Sangria or Spritz (made their way). I had both. 😉 Bring the kids as there is a playground. Bring your pooch too as dog on lead friendly. And as for swings (one pic I didn't get as busy with people on them), there is a very long table outside for you to drink and dine and swing at the same time. 😉 Probably best to book if you would like a table outside (which we didn't do). 📞 Interesting fact (it's a small world), my brother knew the clever fellow who built the Kombi (Mr Ward) with the beer taps on the outside, is from Kalamunda, and would take it to weddings etc. 🌏 Put this lovely place on your next go-to-visit/dine/drink/relax. Also very photographic for you other reviewers and hobbyists.

Visited with family for a tasting and a bite to eat. Our tasting experience was excellent. According to my wife, the sparkly is definitely worth purchasing, and to be honest, the group were appreciative of most of the wines on offer. We purchased a 2023 Backyard Stories Chardonnay. It was excellent. Tasting costs $10pp for a choice of six wines. I was offered a complimentary tasting which was really nice. I declined, but appreciated the sentiment and the warmth of the service staff. It’s a lovely setting and the concept clearly works. As usual business was booming. I think food prices are a little high ($30 for a pizza is a bit rich), but it’s much the same everywhere. The wait time was 30mins + The entire property is powered by generators. Unfortunately it kept going out during our visit resulting in loss of power. The EFTPOS went down meaning we had to pay cash. Luckily one of our party had some on her… They couldn’t process food orders through the app because of the generator failure, which also meant the ordering system (computer) failed. Another example that reinforces my view that cash is king. Old school personal service beats app based ordering every time! A good spot to bring kids as there’s plenty of room for them to run and play. If visiting on a hot day it can get uncomfortable because the cooling isn’t effective. In fact, I’m not sure there is any. I couldn’t see ceiling fans and there was no air conditioning. We sat indoors and sweated through our meal. Not pleasant. Bring a small personal fan, or avoid coming on a really hot day. Overall good, but definitely room for improvement.

This is a tough one... The Atmosphere was great. Even on a wet winter's day it was enjoyable to sit in the outdoor eating. It really is a well presented place to dine. The food was even better than the atmosphere. We were a group of nine including three children and we had a big chunk of the menu. The duck, the prawns, the octopus, the gnocchi, the koftas, several pizzas, the kids picnic platter,...not one complaint about the food, everyone enjoyed what they had. The service was friendly, and... The problem is this, although the menu warns that the food comes as it is ready, not all together, the adults and one child had finished their meal and the other two children were still waiting (1 pizza and the picnic platter). In the interim we had enquired twice as to the meals and was assured they would soon come. In fact another meal the adults ordered after finishing came with no sign of the children's meals. When another inquiry was made the meals not long after appeared. It can happen, meals do get missed, no problem there providing they do appear after a reminder. What happened here? When the first inquiry was made one can only imagine that the person assumed that it would soon come without doing a proper kitchen check, or did they forget a second time. I rarely say negative things, it's a tough job and all the staff are under a great deal of pressure, but seriously guys that was appalling. A sad result for an otherwise top show.

We had the absolute pleasure of being looked after by Pablo at Swings & Roundabouts in Yallingup, and I genuinely cannot sing his praises enough. From the moment we walked in, Pablo went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable.

We were a group of 14 people — which is no small number — and hadn’t made a booking. On a busy day, with the venue buzzing and tables full, we weren’t expecting much more than a long wait or a polite apology. But within just 15 minutes, Pablo had somehow managed to get us a table that accommodated all of us comfortably, without compromising on the views or the vibe of the place.

The way he handled everything was so professional yet warm. He kept us updated throughout the short wait, made us feel genuinely welcome, and checked in regularly to ensure we were looked after even before we were seated. It’s rare to see such calm composure and such care for customer service under pressure — but Pablo was the definition of composed, kind, and capable.

His energy was infectious, and you could tell he really cared about giving people a good experience. It wasn’t just about getting us a table — it was how he did it, with a smile, grace, and efficiency that made all the difference.

The venue itself is gorgeous, the wine and food were incredible as always — but honestly, it was Pablo who turned our afternoon from a hopeful walk-in to a wholesome, joy-filled gathering. People like him are the reason you not only enjoy your time at a place but want to come back again and again.

Massive thank you, Pablo — you’re an absolute legend. Swings is lucky...
