Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff however the Gnocchi was absolutely horrible. Presented in a full bowl of what looked like mushroom soup that actually tasted like a bowl of vinegar & the gnocchi just disintegrated like mush. No truffle flavor if there was any at all in it, as vinegar flavor was way too overwhelming. Staff apologetic and replaced with a different meal arriving approx 10 mins AFTER my husband finished his steak. Understandably things can go wrong but at paying the Bill of $180 and picking up in an over charge of a drink not supplied, there was no offers of a deduction in meal pricing or even a complimentary drink or dessert. Lovely setting, lovely friendly waitresses, although when a restaurant is so quiet as it was last night , you shouldn’t have to leave your table to order a wine to enjoy with your dinner (because you can’t get their attention, they’re busy chatting.) Oysters Kilpatrick were awful, covered in what could only be described as a soup of thick bbq sauce, was hard to find the overcooked-oysters ! Mussels dish tasteless, I presume they were cooked in water not wine…. However the mains were delicious, ox tail and steak cooked to perfection ! Dessert….. was so looking forward to the chia crème brulee but it was awful, a runny mess, couldn’t eat it. I wonder if the chef has tried these dishes to make sure they are satisfactory.. a bit...

Dinner there last night was dreadful - again. Oyster killpatricks were over cooked and the bbq sauce sickly. Fish of the day was barramundi on tumeric rice……the fish was very strong flavoured (i could not eat mine) - barramundi is normally a beautiful delicate flavour. The tumeric rice was inedible. The green beans were nice. All in all, this is the second time we have found the food to be below standard. Very disappointing. With so many good restaurants to choose from in Yamba now, we wont be choosing cunjevoi anytime soon. The Angourie Rainforest Resort is a beautiful place and the setting for the Cunjevoi Restaurant is lovely….just the food is letting it down. Even the menu...
