Topped up fuel on my motorbike and got 2km's out of town and the bike started playing up to the point the heat shield on the exhaust was melting, went back to the servo and asked if anyone has had problems and the staff said no, I bought a coffee while I was trying to decide what to do, when there a fuel tanker pulled up to deliver fuel and one of the staff said thats when you don't want to be fuelling up as it stirs up the sediment in the tank so obviously I'd copped for the dregs of the tank, had to limp to West Wyalong and have the bike repaired at $290 the bike shop said I was very lucky it didn't stuff my bike up and he'd never seen contamination in a bike tank as bad. Given I'd took deliver of the bike the day before and rode from Newcastle with no dramers yet within 2 km's of fuelling I had major problems, the servo owners are denying any responsibility and claiming that the problem was there before. They are having none of it and all I've asked for is reimbursement for my out of pocket costs.
