Landzeit Steinhäusl Vienna—a rest stop experience like no other. The buffet offers a selection that can only be described as “Expensive-Low-Value-Exchange,” with dishes that make you question: "That half Potato, Teaspoon of rice and children-portion-sized-schnitzel is 34€? Can i still return my 7 € Coffee?"
But perhaps, dear traveler, the true hidden gem here isn’t the food—it’s the knowledge on display in their souvenir shop. After all, if your meal didn’t satisfy your appetite for innovation, their carefully curated selection of management books might just nourish your entrepreneurial spirit! Why just suffer through an 1/3-lunch when you could use the time to reflect on your next business venture? Feeling uninspired by the high costs of the buffet? Peter Drucker’s Management is here to teach you how to fix that. Maybe the chaos at the dessert counter could use a little On Competition by Porter—because clearly, the art of strategic positioning could take this place to new heights. And when you’re standing in line wondering how this place manages to pull off charging so much for so little, let Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People guide you through the highly effective art of customer retention. So, next time you stop by Landzeit Steinhäusl Vienna, don’t just grab a meal—grab a new mindset! In between questioning your life choices, pick up a book and start planning that next big idea. Who knows? Maybe your business empire will grow out of this humble, overpriced roadside meal. BTW. 18 minutes more driving, will lead you to Rest-Stop St. Pölten. I think you should consider...
Read moreI stopped at Landzeit Steinhäusl during my trip and was pleasantly surprised at how much more it offers compared to a typical motorway stop. The place is clean, bright, and welcoming with a wide variety of freshly prepared food options. The buffet-style restaurant has something for everyone – from hearty Austrian classics to lighter meals and fresh salads. Portions are generous, and the quality is excellent for a highway stop.
The staff were friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth even when it was busy. Restrooms were spotless and well-maintained, which is always appreciated on long drives. There’s also a nice shop area with regional products, snacks, and travel essentials.
Yes, prices are a bit higher than a standard service station, but the quality and comfort absolutely justify it. If you’re driving past Vienna and need a break, this is one of the best spots to stop...
Read moreOn the night of 01-02.09.2023 we stayed here with the hope that it would be a comfortable hotel with all the necessary things included, but we were completely disappointed. For the amount of 200 euros paid, we were offered a room with 2 separate beds, we being a couple. I checked in outside because the reception was closed So I didn't have access to the bar in the room because it was locked with a key, I didn't have air conditioning, there was also no drinking water, soap and shower gel on the ends, the room was small. The biggest disappointment was that breakfast was not included So we left the hotel sleepless, hungover and in a bad mood Extra towels and clean sheets The bathroom is clean, but the corridors smell of chlorine So I was better off sleeping in the car More than that we will not return here nor do we recommend...
