Weitmoser Schlossalm — Restaurant in Bad Hofgastein

We had a lovely late family lunch at this nice mountain cottage. The interior is cozy and traditional Austrian. We had delicious goulash soup, Japanese dumplings, a salad bowl with bacon and goat cheese, Sachertortew, Apfelstrudel with espresso, and Tiramisu. All meals were delicious and swiftly ordered and served. The portions are huge and worth the money.

At that noon time, there was plenty of space to sit both outside and inside, as it was beautiful weather. The live music at the terrace makes the stay even more enjoyable.

In my opinion the best ski hut in the area. It is a family business and I have know the owner now for over 40 years. Service is great - fast, friendly and always with a smile. The Berner Würstl are my favorite; there are several signature drinks and all of them are really good. This establishment is a great example of how to operate a successful business while still keeping the focus on the most important part - the guest. The Lovely place has been turned into an agressive waiter's one... The place is full of waiters that ask you every 5 minutes if you want some! It was much much better with the self service area!!!
