Restaurant Langwies — Restaurant in Bad Vigaun

We've stayed many places in Europe but this is tops for quality and great values. Lovely people and restaurant and the longstay rooms 4 star clean and comfy with everything you need including a kitchen set up. Smoke free and quiet and calm.|Situated 15 klms south of Salzburg on the S3 train line in Bad Vigaun, Langwies is next door to the train station. Our room was on the corner closest but with the windows closed you barely notice the sound. AC is very good. |You can hop on the train or bus by walking 30 metres out the door. In Salzburg in 28 minutes. OOB S3 is 4.4 Euro for a senior with a Vorteilscard (ordered on line from OBB before we left Australia). |Langwies is only 1.5 hours away from Hallstatt and 30minutes to 1 hour from a variety of destination up the mountains and or down the train line into the Alps. Munich is a little over 2 hours away by train so 30 minutes to Salzburg then catch the DB RE05 train to Munich (use the Deutschland ticket and ride with no ticket for a month).||Langwies is a family highly competently run business which will not disapp0oint. It was far beyond our expectation and the longstay apartment are wonderful, generous and it was our home away from home for 5...

We booked this to have a quiet and peaceful place but unfortunately this didnt work out, there were multiple problems.|a) upon checkin the room we have been assigned had a bad stench|b) we got another room, but that one wasnt ready so we had to wait around again|c) the replacement room was a DOWNGRADE and very hot|d) we couldnt keep the windows open because the room faced the restaurant which was filled with drunk noisy people until 11pm|e) at 6am someone cleaned in the restaurant and made a lot of noise||The breakfast was very standard, the website suggests much more and better quality.||Overall all we got was a sorry, nothing was offered, and were charged a absurd price for basically receiving a night of bad sleep and general unhappiness.||From the many many hotels I stayed in the last months and my life this goes into the Top 5 Worst...
