Birgitzer Alm — Restaurant in Birgitz

We love Birgitzer Alm mountain cabin. The first time we arrived at 12h30. Told that they have a delicious Schnitzel we were told that they ran out of meat. A chance for us. We ordered liver dumplings. The best we ever ate. Freshly prepared. We loved them,5 stars. That day the waitress was a bit harsh. 2 stars out of 5 for her. So we decided to go there for a second time, with family to eat the liver dumplings. The taste was still good but not freshly prepared this time. Still prices are the best what we saw during 1 1/2 months holidays in the Tyrol. Definitely a must go. The portions are so big. Come hungry to finish your meal. Felicitations to the chef. See you...

Prachtige locatie waar wij gister erg genoten hebben na een mooie wandeling. Hadden toen een erg vriendelijke gastheer en daarom gingen we vandaag weer . Door lichamelijke klachten zijn we nu met de auto gegaan alleen vandaag werden wij al enorm slecht behandeld door een hele arrogante nederlandse vrouw ( schaam me dat het landgenoot is van mij). Wij wisten niet dat we de berg daar niet op mochten rijden en dat werd ons verteld met enorme stem verheffing en neerbuigend gedrag op het terras, iedereen kon mee genieten. Wij zaten fout want we wisten niet dat je een grindweg niet in mochten rijden , heb gelijk me excuses aangeboden maar ze ging gewoon lekker door met respectloos gedrag . Zoals op de foto te zien is want dat nou ook niet duidelijk voor toeristen en ons stoorde vooral het gedrag en toon van de vrouw wat echt zo arrogant en respectloos was . Ze waren zelf vergeten de port af te sluiten en hem wagen wijd open te laten maar we moesten hem wel echt dichtdoen toen we weggingen werd ons 5 keer nageroepen nadat we weg gingen na ons drankje . Andere woorden ; locatie / eten en gastheer is top ! Nederlandse gastvrouw is niet geschrikt voor horeca en kan niet met mensen normaal communiceren ( kom zelf ook uit horeca en bij ons was ze...

Great place for hiking, biking, skiing, sledding or simply just to grab a bite. Local "mountain hut" dishes at a fair price. In my opinion a good place to visit all around the year. You can either go up from Axams or start around Adelshof (1h at a slow pace) or you walk through the woods coming from the axamer lizum. By the way: necessary COVID rules were...
