Beefman's Restaurant — Restaurant in Bischofshofen

We’re on a roadtrip and were passing through this little town. Saw this restaurant had good ratings so I thought we’d try it out.

We were quickly seated to our table. Then waited probably 5 minutes before we were even given menus, and another 5-10 minutes before someone took our order.

I ordered the lady’s cut filet steak medium rare, with rosmary potatos on the side, while my boyfriend ordered the house special burger.

It took at least 45 minutes before we got our food, and we were pretty hungry. I asked about an estimate and the server politly apologized for the wait, told us it was due to the amount of people in the restaurant and said we could get a free dessert or drink on the house. This was nice enough, i’ve worked at restaurants and shit happens, sometimes it takes long. However i was hoping the quality and taste of the food would at least compensate for the long wait time, and to our disappointment it didn’t… we didn’t get our food at the same time. My boyfriend got his food, while I had to wait an additional few minutes for my food. When i got it, the steak was not medium rare but medium. I ordered it with herb butter which was served as a frozen block on top of my steak… The taste was okay, nothing special. My boyfriends burger tasted rather weird. Not good really. The free dessert was also very meh. Didn’t even finish it. Then when we were to pay they told us that they only take cash. My bad i guess for not knowing so i had to go get cash from the car. When i came back they didn’t have change so had to wait for that too… All in all just not a great experience. I do feel bad for the servers in these situations. I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment for lunch on Saturday, where we ordered the Tomahawk steak accompanied by grilled vegetables, rosemary potatoes, and crêpes for dessert. I must say, the entire experience was outstanding.

The quality and flavor of the meat were truly exceptional — the marbling was perfectly distributed, indicating a well-selected and expertly prepared cut. The accompaniments were equally well-executed, and the meal was elevated by attentive, courteous, and well-coordinated service.

My sincere compliments to the entire team: I’ve finally found a place where excellence in food and hospitality come together...
