Gasthof Bürglhöh - Das Wirtshaus — Restaurant in Bischofshofen

We spent 3 nights at one of the suites, the room was big, and having your own sauna was a pleasant experience. However, I feel that for the price we paid we could have stayed in a hotel that could offer a bit more. Common areas at Bürglhöh are sometimes strangely decorated (for example a big poster of the naked chef hiding a knife behind his back was quite odd 😅). Also, the checkout time is 10am, which we didn’t expect. I was still packing and at 10:01 the cleaning lady entered a room without knocking, giving me a heart attack. Another thing is that no shampoo or conditioner was provided, which is for my point of view quite strange when you pay 200 euros a night. These are all relatively small details, but they impacted...

We had dinner here during our stay at Bischofshofen. Everything about the experience was perfect. It's located on a hill with a beautiful view over the valley. The decor inside is cosy, and the staff is warm. We had no problems taking a reservation (even though we couldn't speak any German), our table was served by Sabrina who described the menu and suggestions to us in english, she also explained the origin of the wines The meal in itself was amazing, we had a nice mix of traditional dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Thank you for your hospitality. It was one of the best of our stays ever! Owners are very kind, service as it’s best! Rooms are spacious and super clean. Sauna and fire place are in every apartment, apartments with kitchen have great appliances, you really don’t need to bring with you anything! Beds are super comfortable, bed linens are nice and soft, and sofa beds are to my surprise are so comfortable as a good quality bed. I’m glad we chose this place for our ski time. Location is convenient to get to every ski slopes in the area. You really won’t regret...
