We stayed at Gasthof Hofbauer in August, during the Austrian MotoGP weekend, as basis for the Red Bull Ring circuit, that is located 45 minutes away from the Gasthof itself.|It consists of two buildings, one with the rooms and breakfast area, the other with the restaurant. In summer, it’s good to eat outside, We could enjoy a wonderful Austrian cusine, with fresh, local products. Rooms are big, clean and have a beautiful balcony with a view on the surroundings. Although closed to a main street, the place is quiet and silent. In the back there are fields, an orchard and, if you love walking, some paths for hiking. We stayed two nights and should have stayed longer. It is nestled in the counrtyside with a view. The rooms are spacious and clean, and ours had a balcony. The area is lovely and green and we toured around south of Breitenau and found some beautiful spots to stop and enjoy. The grounds of the Gasthof extend up at the back where there are some deer which are quite tame. ||We were very impressed by the fact that the Gasthof actually had a Ruhdag on both nights we were there but our hosts said that they would provide a dinner meal as we were guests.
