We were driving from Hallstadt to Salzburg and were in desperate need for some good food. It was a Sunday night and most places we tried were closed. We were hesitant to try this place because it was a little off our route, but we were running out of options. And I am SO happy we stopped here. It was the best meal we ate in our 2-week vacation in Europe. The staff was friendly and kind, and the Scnitzels were better than I could have imagined. There are more than enough to eat and you can tell they have perfected their method. If I'm ever within 100 miles of this place, I'm going again. I can't recommend this place enough. If you’re holidaying in Austria, or if you live there, DO NOT visit this restaurant, they’re not worth your time, effort or money, unless you like rude staff who have no idea when their own kitchen closes! We visited on 3 consecutive days, at different times each day, each time it wasn’t very busy, once at 8:30 once at 8 and the last at 7:30, and every time the kitchen was closed! But to be even more insulting, after waiting almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by one of the 3 people behind the bar, we were told sorry the kitchen closes at 8. The time was 7:50. We went to this restaurant in purpose after our hike to the Plötz Watterfall and it was totally worth it. The staff is very friendly and speak English. The schnitzels are from another planet! We had 3 varieties and all were very tasty and tender, one of my friends cannot eat pork so she had the version of a Swiss schnitzel but with turkey and no sauce, just melted cheese and filled with topfen cheese, also tasty.

They accept only cash payments but there is an ATM next to the restaurant in case you don’t have any cash.

I highly recommend this place for another variety of schnitzels and good ambient in that pretty little town, totally...

We went to this restaurant in purpose after our hike to the Plötz Watterfall and it was totally worth it. The staff is very friendly and speak English. The schnitzels are from another planet! We had 3 varieties and all were very tasty and tender, one of my friends cannot eat pork so she had the version of a Swiss schnitzel but with turkey and no sauce, just melted cheese and filled with topfen cheese, also tasty. They accept only cash payments but there is an ATM next to the restaurant in case you don’t have any cash. I highly recommend this place for another variety of schnitzels and good ambient in that pretty little town, totally worth the hike!

Wir waren echt früher öfters hier Schnitzel essen. Wenn jemand Schnitzel sagt ist es definitiv der Dorfwirt in Ebenau gewesen. Vor kurzem waren wir nach längerer Zeit Pause wieder hier essen, um genauer zu sein war das letzte Mal noch ein Zeitchen her noch vor der Covid-19 Zeit. Ich muss sagen, dass sich das Essen aber sowas von dermaßen verschlechtert hat. Wir waren am Feiertag da und verstehe, dass es stressig ist aber es hat an Personal gemangelt und alles hat ewig gedauert. Punkte gibts nur noch für den puren Geschmack der Schnitzel aber die Zubereitung lässt echt zu wünschen übrig. Die Schweizer Schnitzel sollte mit Käse und Speck überbacken sein und seht auch bitte den Speck am Foto an der innen in der Schnitzel war, puuhhh also ich weiß es nicht. Bei der Spinat Schnitzel ist auch normalerweise Gorgonzola und Spinat drinnen und nicht überflutet damit. Preise höher gesetzt und dafür Verschlechtert, leider der falsche weg.

Very good Schnitzel! We tried Wiener, Schweizer, Paradis and griechischer Schnitzel and they were all very tasty. The portions are huge. The service could have been a little bit better. The waiter could have been more polite and friendly, but overall it was a good experience.

Very good Schnitzel! We tried Wiener, Schweizer, Paradis and griechischer Schnitzel and they were all very tasty. The portions are huge. The service could have been a little bit better. The waiter could have been more polite and friendly, but overall it was a good experience.
