Wochenbrunner Alm — Restaurant in Ellmau

I'll give them a zero start rating if possible, in fact, after 10 days I encountered here the most unfriendly and rude people ever in this trip. Not only they did not help me with an easy question which was "When was the last bus coming if there was any since we aren't from the region". There was an open door with no signs on it and a man came out after I said hi, I tried to ask the question and he said there is no bus here and I don't know nothing about.

Well, if you work there obviously you know there is a bus service and probably the schedule too. One day, when you are in a country where you don't speak the language and exhausted after a super hot day of hiking it is going to happen something similar to you. Also, no other staff members where willing to help.

Amazing food. Especially after an hike, the taste of great food is so welcoming. The soup quantity is so ample, its more like a dish than appetizer. The pizzas are really tasty. The brat kartoffel is delicious. Pommes are very crispy. Dessert options are great. The ambience is perfect with a great look over the mountains. Wir sind zu Fuß von Ellmau aus durch die Klamm zur Wochenbrunner Alm gewandert. Allein das ist schon ein Highlight. Dem Wilden Kaiser immer näher kommend und immer einen tollen Weg vor sich macht das ganze zu einer tollen Tour. Die Alm selbst ist wunderschön von innen und auch außen lässt es sich wunderbar sitzen mit einem phantastischen Blick auf die Berge und ins Tal. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen und Trinken von guter Qualität und sehr gutem Geschmack. Auch wenn die Preise etwas höher sind, aber sie sind es wirklich wert. Auf der Alm ist noch eine wunderschönes Bauernhaus welches zu einem urigen Laden umgebaut ist. Auch für die Unterhaltung für Kinder ist gesorgt durch einen tollen Spielplatz und ein Gehege mit Ziegen und Rotwild gibt es genug Zeitvertreib. Von der Alm aus kann man auch noch zu etlichen Touren aufbrechen. Kürzere wie längere. Schwere bis leichte. Wir sind von hier aus noch ein kleines Stück weiter zur Anna Grotte. Man kann auch von Ellmau aus mit einem kleinen Bus herauf fahren, wie wir es beim zweiten Besuch getan haben.
