I wish our experience was great. We had a reservation for 6 people. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken and served. We then ordered. 3 of us ordered the veal liver special, 1 ordered salmon, 1 ordered a pork dish, and the last one ordered a goat cheese dish. We waited quite awhile. Finally the salmon dish came out. I need to mention that 3 other salmon dishes came out at the same time to be served at other tables. When the first person was half way done with his salmon dish, the pork dish came out. After the first person had finished his salmon dish 2 liver dishes came out, along with the goat cheese dish. 5 minutes later the last liver dish came out. In the meantime the two who had gotten their liver dishes had started eating and their meals were at best lukewarm. We asked to send them back because they were cold and the waitress said “oh really”? The dishes were served again 5 minutes later. They obviously had been stuck in the microwave because the plates looked exactly as they had when they were sent back and a little dry. And to top it off, each plate was served to the wrong person so they had to switch. Now, on to dessert. One guest ordered a fruit dumpling dish. The other creme brûlée. The fruit dumplings came out first. And that guest was long done with his dumplings when the creme brûlée came out and again I need to mention that 3 other creme brûlée servings came out at the same time. On to food quality: The fish was very dry and was served on top of a sage risotto dish that looked like milk rice, not to mention the sage was overpowering. The pork was good. The goat cheese dish was so la la. The liver was somewhat tough and not cleaned well and it was smothered in a gravy that was very heavy for a veal liver with carmelized pear. This kind of service and quality should not happen at a restaurant that is pricey because of supposed quality. We were very disappointed. This meal was supposed to be a treat for us all. We are all good friends and this was a farewell dinner as my husband and I, after 3 months in Austria, are traveling back to the US. We friends won’t see each other again for another year. The saving grace for the experience is that we were in good company and we had fun because we all were together. I think next year we will stick with the average Gasthaus / Wirtshaus. Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier essen und ich muss gestehen, dass unsere Erfahrung durchwachsen war. Zu Beginn wurden wir ignoriert bis unsere ganze Gruppe vor Ort war. Wir bekamen keine Speisekarten und auch unser Getränkewunsch wurde nicht genommen bis wir vollständig waren. Nach der Nachfrage, ob man beim Cordon Bleu statt nur Kartoffeln auch Reis und Kartoffeln haben könnte, kam die Antwort „Nein, dass ist für die Menschen der heutige Generation nicht machbar, weil es zu aufwendig ist“. Die Kellnerin hat also die jüngeren Mitarbeiter in der Küche beleidigt, was mich sehr überraschte und auch absolut nicht angebracht war, da wir auch Menschen am Tisch hatten, die zu dieser Generation gehören. Das Cordern Bleu selbst war aber sehr gut. Der Backhendlsalat ist leider sehr enttäuschend, da man außer Blattsalat, zwei Cherry-Tomaten und ein paar Scheiben Radieschen nichts am Teller hatte- da fehlt einfach ein Kartoffelsalat oder auch Karotten, Gurken etc.. Für den Preis war es einfach nicht ausreichend. Auch die Maishendlbrust war für einen Erwachsenen von der Portion einfach zu klein, auch wenn sie gut...

Sicher kein Haubenlokal aber ohne Kinder OK. Portionen eher klein (sogar das Kinderschnitzl für einen 4 Jährigen zu wenig).Gastgarten direkt an der Hauptstraße. Bei meinen letzten 3 Besuchen hatte ich das Gefühl, dass Familien mit Kindern eher unerwünscht sind. Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich. Ich musste mich darauf hinweisen lassen, dass mein Sohn ein unappetiliches Essverhalten hat, weil er sein 2. Kinderschnitzl am selben Teller serviert haben wollte, welches natürlich am Rand mit Ketchup verschmiert war und noch ein paar Pommes darauf gelegen waren. Es war kein Fleck am Tisch und mein Sohn hatte auch anständig mit Besteck gegessen. Ein kleiner Spielplatz musste meinerseits von Scherben und umherliegeden Schrauben gesäubert werden. Weiters werden am Spielplatz alte Eternitplatten und Holzabfälle gelagert. Genau unter den Schaukeln befindet sich harter Boden mit erhabenen Baumwurzeln.
